Its quarantine for ya, it's made me have outbursts with acne aswell 😭 And all my cats are finding ways to hurt themselves some how. 😭 One of my cats tried eating a bee. Haaha

@@TheOpus480 my dog hurt his paw while getting into our tractor, 3 of my lambs have broke out and one has ripped down my neighbours fence, my cow had a c section while giving birth, I had to help my neighbour separate a bull from a cow in the middle of the road, we fenced a field with ewes in it and when we finished we realised there was one ewe in a field with a bull, me and my cat were being sick at nearly the same time in the morning for 2 days and my mum was fed up cleaning it up and we bought a ewe that has headbutted me and my dog multiple times

Mine schedule their injuries...I’ve had 1 every month lately, I’ve had hematoma, founder and a horse that decided to jump a fence with barbed wire.

lol same. I have a 6 year old OTTB named Jack (his old name was Jim The Beast because he is 16.3 hands 0.0) And he has a bad habit of jumping out of the wooden fenced pastures that have barbed wire in between them because they have a mare with the geldings that sneaks her head between the fence to get the ‘fresher’ grass. Anyway, he jumps them and finds me in the tack room after I put his tack away because he needs a lot of exercise and so after I find him outside it I have to ride him again after he jumps out 😒

Isn't that the truth!! I always said no matter how big and wide open a pasture is; a horse will find a way to get themselves injured !

Maybe instead of saying it’s “bad news” for Sureno, think of it as good news. While yes it’s sad that he has to have surgery, the good news is that you caught it early and can afford to get him the medical care he needs right away. Praying for his surgery to go well and a quick recovery 💜

wombat squirt makes sense I guess. It sounded funny when someone said he had a huge crack on his windshield while taking his huge stallion in the car. Lol. That’s why I was saying that.

The way Sureno stopped and watched you leave like hey why are you leaving melted my heart

It's so wonderful to watch that connection with you two. Rare to see someone put there money where there mouth is, so to speak. Please feel free to ask your vet and staff to show you anything when asked. If not do not take your animals there. I have been a vet tech and vet hospital director for the past 20 years. We love those people who are interested and ask questions. Thank you Matt for showing that. Prayers for you and Soreno. Much love and light to you ànd yours.

unfortunately I can relate to "there is always something going on with the horses".. mine had three minor surgeries in span of year and a half 🤷 wishing him a quick recovery! :)

How are your horses? Mine has her 4th big wound in under half a year.. This time she needs absolute stable rest, antibiotics. But thankfully no surgeries

Sureno is such a beautiful, well-behaved and gorgeous stallion! Matt has done a tremendous job training all his horses; he is a truly remarkable horse person!

He is in great hands there! I had an internship at the caretaker of the horses at this clinic; Dirk! The vets are very good and they take great care of the horses there, dont worry☺️

If only all horses were as easy to load as Sureno

One of my horses thinks my horse trailer is a wood chipper...lol...he hates it and he’ll only go in if he sees one of his herd mates go in first...lol

I think it's awesome that you are jumping on this early. It seems that it's really what's best for your beautiful boy. I love that you all brought the dogs along. I love seeing them. Matt, I noticed in the very first video you posted that he seemed lame ! Are you sure this isn’t an underlying issue rather then a current injury ? I know you had a vet check but sometimes things can go unseen. Please have a look at your first video again when your riding in the arena at the previous owners home. It might help explain a bit more ! ❤️

I absolutely love how much you love all of your fur babies! I totally understand what you are going through as I used to compete in the American “Tevis Cup” race. A 100 mile race will sometimes produce problems in your horses no matter how well they are conditioned and cared for. Blessings from Texas.💗

Very informative! Used to be these leg problems were lethal for horses. Happy the vets have come so far...your horse is breath taking beautiful! I'd spend my last penny if he needed it! Love ya kiddo...all the best from Canada and thanks for sharing!

It’s the most annoying thing when your horse has to go to the vet, and why does this have to happen to such a lovely horse like Sureno 😢. But I have a question: do you know what’s wrong with his hock yet? Because my horse had a swollen hock a few months ago and he wasn’t lame, it was only after his whole leg swelled that we realized he had lymphangitis. Our vet said that I should keep on exercising him with very light work to keep him moving so the blood circulates, and that kept the swelling down. And every time he got some exercise, he had his legs rinsed for 15-20 minutes. After a few days he was recovering very nicely, and after a few weeks it was almost was completely gone. That’s just my opinion on what it could be, it could actually be anything. I’m sorry to hear this😔, at least you noticed it early enough,and I hope he gets betterXx💛✨

I hope all goes well for Sureno in his surgery. I'm glad to see that the vet is aware of the Downer Syndrome - nerve damage that can occur when a large animal lies on a hard surface for too long. It is easily avoided when you know about it & it sounds like your vet is prepared. I'm glad you are being proactive on his hock & look forward to your updates. Good luck!

He went to a very respected clinic with a huge equine surgical facility. I think they might know what they're doing..

Oh man, I'm so sorry. I was a vet tech in equine medicine, and my own horse got a hock injury which landed him in the university hospital for 6 weeks. I wish the best of luck in the coming surgery, keep your chin up Matt, I'm sure he's in good hands. Love from Minnesota.

Not gonna lie I said “holy shit” when he showed how swollen the hock was! He just showed it in a video earlier this week and it wasn’t anything a close to that swollen! Since I’m kind of a nerd I’d love to see the radiographs of his hock!

Ugh! Totally know how you feel my OTTB has been muscle sore for 2 months vet said I should start riding him because we think the reason he’s sore is due to the fact that his Stifle is weak resulting in soreness but ugh! It’s been all over the place totally sucks so I know how you feel I wish they could all stay healthy at once😭 I hope Sereno feels better soon poor baby.

He’s such a lucky guy that it’s only a minor procedure! In my personal experience with hematomas, they’re absolutely irritating when they don’t resolve on their own, but they are relatively quick to drain and patch up with a vet! Very few stitches and basically unnoticeable after healing!

My mare had a huge hematoma and I hot packed it for a couple of days and it went away. No vet no draining.

I love the movement on the goals. You own 2 fabulous stallions as well as your other beautiful pets. I enjoy seeing your family and your adventures. I believe your stallions both have very different points for breeding. I think you need to continue searching for the right mares for either of them. You have shown a great desire todo the best for them and a thirst for knowledge. I am sure you will do well with your future plans.

Sad to hear your horse had to have surgery. My horse went for surgery as well. He had hock problems in his right leg. He came back from that surgery, recuperated and was good to go. Hang in there.

I'm so sorry to hear about the surgery. I know how scary it can be because many years ago my husband was riding my beautiful Appaloosa in the mountains and a crazy jeep driver ran them over the cliff. It was hours before we even knew what happened, another rider found them, then getting a trailer up a dirt road and getting them back to the stable. My husband was ok but my horse had extensive injuries to his left front leg, he was a great eventing horse and loved to perform. We went ahead with surgery and months later he was finally able to get out of traction, casts, etc. and back out for exercise. I wish you luck and hope you beautiful stallion will be healed and you will be riding again soon. 😼

Ugh poor man 😢 that looks so painful. I agree (even though what I'm about to day doesnt matter) that surgery is a good decision that doesn't look like it'll get better on its own.
