2:00 It's a bad design, being that the only other stroads I've experienced with yield signs for right-turners included protected left turn lanes for opposing traffic, which this intersection does not.

1:55 (Ignoring this is a year old and not it Philly haha) I think that yield sign is pointless. It seems like the line going between the lanes is solid until the drainage thing, people have just gone over it a lot. Almost like that one intersection with the Bollards in I want to say North East?

1:47 I see they brought a favorite traffic code back from California like a souvenir. At least I like to pretend. 3:05 Where's the light green from them, the Twilight Zone? 4:25 Ooof, I still haven't gotten used to the sound of crashes like that. We used to live by an intersection that had some really bad ones. It's almost like the distress radiates outward. :-(

No not at all

1:59 No, I don't agree. The traffic light doesn't apply to you if you're in the right lane... But the yield sign does apply. If you really want to make a right turn on red, you can use the left lane and (if the light is red) stop for the signal and then execute a right turn on red. Seems easier to just obey the yield sign.

If you have a yield sign, you yield. Doesn't matter what color the light is or where the traffic is coming from. You yield the right of way.

@@BadDriversofMaryland when you turn right you enter a merge lane for rt1. You are no longer in the intersection so the light doesn't apply to you.

Nice, comprehensive video of typical Maryland drivers doing the everyday stupid mistakes and moving violations that cause accidents and drive insurance rates higher. Fact: Maryland (i.e. Washington Metro Area and Baltimore) drivers are the worst in the country. AAA and insurance companies rate U.S. cities and metro areas every year for accidents and moving violations that contribute to accidents. Washington, DC, and Baltimore always rank at the bottom out of 200 cities. Unfortunately, driver education here is poor and people have the income to pay for accidents and high insurance rates. Body shops are one of the most profitable enterprises in Baltimore-Washington. As a highly skilled, defensive driver, I have never caused an accident in more than 50 years of driving. However, I have been rear-ended, sideswiped, and broad-sided by so many idiots over the years, I've lost count.

You’re not a very good driver either. You should have stayed in the right lane at that yield sign instead of cutting across to the left lane
