Im laughing so hard rn. I took 5 injections at 10 years old because a cat bit my left hand and i didnt even cry lmfao, everything i get a vaccine at school i always get flashbacks

In Africa I would be bed ridden with malaria, then my grandma walks in with a needle and I would be gone, running like a very healthy person.

These poor nurses don’t get paid enough to deal with this crap

Sometimes getting started is a annual thing for health and medical reasons. The point being is that no one likes it but it is a imperative requirement even if you don't like it. That's why getting your mandated shots when it is that time to get Your shot or shots. Fellow humans would call this wickedness, meanness, cruel and sometimes they call it somewhat abusive. But in reality it's love, tough love That is a huge requirement And it comes highly recommended. Tough love is when a parent or friend stops enabling you. Not enabling you from and/or in doing wrong or to correct negative behavior by the only in a firm way. Despite your intent and how you meant your intent tough love the guiding tool that helps guide you through life.

The doctor/nurse was very patient and determined. I guess she’s heard it all before. A lot of people young and old are afraid of needles.

Yeah so many are afraid of needles. I work in a hospital and im always gentle with every patient and understanding but the way this lady dealt with her is how i deal with patients who behave in this way, be gentle and calm with them but get it over and done with quickly.

As an adult I’m still this way. I ask for liquid or something I can chew. I can’t do pills I gag. Needles I literally pass how. It’s a mess when I go to the doctors and I’m 35.

Those needles be hurting but it’s only like a little pinch and she’ll get used to it instantly

One thing loving about African mothers: they give you a little slap for the right thing and stand by you to support you go through it. If it were one of these western kids, it would have taken the entire day with words such as "honey, you gonna be fine", "come here, and get some hug"...and the nurse will join in, and they will waste the entire day babysitting the kid. We don't spoil our kids like that in Africa. We make them strong, ready and to face tough times. That's why Africans where ever they are around the world are resilien.
