The main point of the Bad Boys franchise is to get the bad guys before they get us. Throw in some gags and explosions and it's good to go. If that's your thing, this movie delivers. Go, grab your popcorn and enjoy the ride. If that's not your thing, why the heck are you watching a Bad Boys review?

Bad Boys 2 and Matrix Reloaded is absolutely the best of highway chase scenes

I actually give it a 9 out of 10. We had a near death scene and a character coming to the realization that death is not the end and there is no need to be afraid. They played on that theme throughout the movie and tested the hypothesis at the end in a clever way. A lot of the interrogation scenes gave an insight into how corrupt leaders operate in the quest for money. The candy scenes were part of showing the flaws and weaknesses of the character and they injected it with humor. The movie brought back memories of the 80s Commando with Arnold Schwarzenegger, then we got a bit of Tom Cruises Top Gun reboot in Will Smith character as he shows his regrets and guilt. There is an opening scene that reminded me of the Joker in the Dark Knight Batman. They dotted their I’s and crossed their T’s and as a result I had a good time and was even at the edge of my seat at times. I saw it in Dolby, because i didn’t think I could stomach IMAX. This was good and entertaining. 9 out of 10 is my rating.

Theresa (Martin’s former wife) is in fact sick and they replaced her with Tasha Smith. It was a good fill for her role.

It wasn’t so weird for me because I heard them talking about her replacement before but, the original would have been more authentic. She is sick and dealing with some mental issues. I saw a few videos where she wasn’t so well.

Watched Bad Boys last night. I think people gotta manage their expectations. Some movies are meant to be deep, have a message, and to be watched 3 times for you to understand. And some movies you turn your brain off and watch to be entertained. Bad Boys has always been ENTERTAINMENT. The jokes were funny, the action sequences were good. I enjoyed it for what it is. I think this is better than 3 and 1. I do believe the Bad Boys franchise has potential to expand. I was hoping to see more of the new kids take the mantel. Hudgens, the white guy, his son, and Reggie! There was an Asian dude in the 3rd movie that was funny, I was wondering where he was.

We loved the movie. ITs your typical summer blockbuster without all the got to be Oscar BS. We said the same as U. We think this is the perfect time to expand. Reggie was a perfect setup for that.

Actually the candy part was funny to me and got big laughs in my theater.

My wife and I loved the movie. Our sons are going tomorrow. That out of nowhere scene with an unlikely person will be their favorite part for sure. I smile thinking about that scene. So good.

Before we go any further, absolutely correct about comparisons of the two Greatest chase scenes in movie history. But Bad Boys 2 wins this hands down with the corpse drop.

They should’ve made Bad Boys 3 about 10 years earlier than they did, and they should’ve contractually obligated Martin into getting into shape so he could do more than just play mother hen to Will Smith for 2 hours.

The original Bad Boys film was 30 years ago. These characters would be well past retirement or at least higher up in the food chain at the Miami Police Department. With their years of experience they should at least be Captains and not just Lieutenants.

Bad boys 1 definitely had the best villain

I think that this movie was for all of us who wanted to see Martin Lawrence go out with a bang. I loved all his one liners and and the surprise cameos.

I don’t know dawg you might be trippin. BB4 was action packed. I agree about the villain part but this is the first one I wanted to go to the movies multiple times to see

Secondly. Won't it make sense for the characters. That now there older, and they can't do the action like they did in the previous films, that it will still be a blockbuster but, on a smaller scale ? Due to the story you've explain and now that they are older and they won't be able to do these big larger then life and death scale things. I mean to me that make sense for the story, but hey, that's "Just my opinion" 😉 🤷🏿‍♂️

As time has progressed I realize I was never really mad at Will Smith over what happened I was disappointed. I have learned who the true villain was in that story and it wasn't Will Smith or Chris Rock. I'm glad to see Will Smith In another Bad Boys it was very funny I liked it much better than number 3. I would say the difference between number four and number three is that Martin was healthy and they had a bigger budget.

If you want an awesome freeway chase scene, than nothing compares to William Friedkin's To Live & Die in LA.

I just saw it not too bad. I still prefer Bad Boys 2 over all of them.

It’s a must see

I am seeing it twice at the movies.

This movie felt like AI made the movie and tried to pick all of the scenes that people liked in the first two movies.

The villian is dope and handsome and gorgeous.

Even my wife liked this movie and she doesn't like action films

I like the villain in this movie: Not more time or empathy given. Not glorified or overhyped or made “interesting” or too much of a boss. He just needed to be slaughtered like a pig. I feel the same way about the Baron and Rabban in “Dune 2”…

I love a good honest review this movie received a lot of great reviews was interested to see a review where someone pointed out potential flaws. I thought this movie in my very own opinion was absolutely flawless and a perfect ten HOWEVER your review was nice glad you still enjoyed the movie great review 👍🏾

I would say you are spot on with this review. Action let down, villain average and that returning character didn't need to die. Michael bay's bad boys 1 & 2 will never be beaten.

I will say I do wish the reveal of the puppet master was more dramatic. They also framed a certain character to be a villain for a brief moment but it turns out they don’t even acknowledge the person again. It was a weird type of foreshadowing technique that didn’t end up being foreshadowing lol

Last one was meh. This looks a little better, but bet it's just more of the same. I dunno...

I thought their dead Boss daughter serv no purpose in this Film and I thought it was unnecessary to kill John Salley off and not even have the characters give it a second thought

Lol, the part when he said he was not spoiling, but now we know a serious character will die. (So that we will be aware of),and now we know that there is a ridiculously goofy scene in the candy gun fight sequence. And, now we know a "surprising character" which everybody does action in the film. Except, the characters that don't. So one of them will do it. Just got to minus out like 5 side characters we know, which is obvious who that is. But it was a great review 👌🏾 glad that the movie is good 👍🏿 more positive then negative.

I was afraid of listening to everything because I feel like even the slightest thing would've been a spoiler lol, but i was skimming through and it sounded like a lot of negativity, granted you kind of gave a disclaimer in the beginning, but it sounded like a lot of complaining just for you to end up giving it a pretty good score lmao. I also feel like comparing it to the others doesn't help, but that's what we naturally do. To me it seems better than the last one and I liked the last one, but I don't think it's fun enough to be as rewatchable as the first two, mainly Bad Boys 2. But Imma come back after I watch the movie to really listen to everything you said lol

I disagree about McGraff. Tapia was the second least threatening bad guy for me after the first one. McGraff was six steps ahead of the bad boys and he and his people didn’t mind going directly at them

Haven't seen it yet, will tomorrow. Speaking of the action though, I feel it's all about budget. Especially in this day and age. Bad Boys 2 had a 130 mil budget compared to the 90 million of 4.

I liked it. Way better than 3. I was surprised.

I finally saw the movie and loved it! I really only miss the grittiness and even “asshole” nature of the franchise haha but they do a great job making them their own thing while paying homage to the older films. But I was trying to figure out what part that wasn’t in the movie but was in the trailer??? Was it just the scene of them watching the news?

Martin was giving up on himself when the phone stopped ringing Then a miracle happened and he was fat and unprepared for it Never give up hope

The action scenes match the age of the characters! Will Smith and Martin are much older. To make the supporting actors do all the action would take the shine off the two main characters!

I feel you on the movie’s action not reaching the level of Bad Boys 2 but I never really expected it. I looked at the budget for this movie and it’s $100 million. I feel like it would take another $50 million to have that kind of action and I don’t think that’s in the cards for this franchise.

When I saw parts of a crocodile scene on a trailer.. I got a lil disappointed but I haven't seen the movie yet but it looked like forced humor

EXCELLENT REVIEW. I felt the exact same way about the last Bad Boys movie. It wasn't bad. They did a good job....but it didn't have that WOW effect that we would always get from the Michael Bay movies. Michael Bays filmaking style has become a running joke in Hollywood, but I think thats a bunch of BS to be honest. He single handledly changed the game, as far as ADRENALINE pumping action scenes go. A LOT of directors have tried to copy his style ever since THE ROCK came out. With the sports cars, the chase scenes, the camera angles, the cinematography, the shootouts, and yes.....the SPECTACULAR explosions. His action movies feel like MAJOR events / theme park rides. In the BEST possible way. THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT FROM A SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER. As far as these last 2 Bad Boys movies go....I like to compare them to a SNOOP DOG album. He did a great job with Pharrell. They made some cool / catchy / enjoyable songs.....but lets be honest here. WE ALL CAN'T WAIT to hear his upcoming album thats he's doing with DR DRE ( Called Missionary ). MARTIN and WILL are at their BEST ( In these BAD BOYS movies )....when MICHAEL BAY is directing them. PERIOD.

I had no idea ppl like bad boys 2 that damn much. I probably just seen it maybe 4 times my whole life. It's my least favorite still. Bad boys 4 is my 2nd favorite it was amazing. I want to see a 5th one.

Not fan of alot cussing so that's why I didn't watch it. Now I saw bad boy 2 or was that 3 smh not sure. But just my own personal feelings i dont like cussing. I love Will and Martin ❤. And ppl need to get over that slap. #DisneyDiva ❤
