The idea of the cars driving down the hill through all the shacks was taken from one of JACKIE CHAN's most famous movies: "POLICE STORY".

To this day, Bad Boys 2 has an uncontested Guinness World Record for the number of vehicles destroyed in one scene in the same film. Bridge chase scene is STILL INSANE, even so many years later. Mansion gunfight also. So much excellent action-centric cinematography and in-camera work going on in this film. Still definitely one of Bay’s best.

There was a two season series called L.A.'s Finest. Where Gabrielle Union reprised her role from this movie and she was partnered with Jessica Alba. I loved that show, I wish it didn't get canned after just two seasons.

FINALLY this is my favorite movie out of the franchise I can quote it from start to finish lol Martin has the funniest lines especially when he was on X “this a nice fcking fish big eyes but a nice fcking fish” him drinking out that damn vase takes me out every time, when they are in the video store and people don’t know the context of the situation. 😂 Fun fact: the kid who played Reggie wasn’t an actor they just liked his looked and asked him if he wanted to be in a scene, the reaction to the gun and everything is real he was lowkey spooked lol and I believe during the gun fight with the Haitians that’s will smith driving could be wrong.

Easily my favorite of the franchise. So many memorable scenes

This one is so over the top with action scenes that last too long and random other scenes that are funny that don't need to be in the movie. I love every minute of it

As much as I hate Michael Bay as a director and storyteller, he did have his finger on the pulse of cheesy but awesome 00’s era slow motion and practical effects.

Fun fact: one of the dancers in the nightclub scene near the beginning is Megan Fox (in the red hat). Slightly more disturbing fact: she was only 16 at the time.

No, not "informant;" a "computer hacking specialist." He was arrested for being a hacker and cracking into computers illegally. This must mean he was given a chance to work FOR the Miami PD in exchange for release.

My favourite part of the movie is the car chase in the Ferarri. That gets my adrenaline high.

This is Michael Bay at his most Michael Bay, and I am here for it. Such a great, no-holds barred action movie. You're right: he went ALL OUT with this one. "Pearl Harbor" came out in '01, and got some pretty bad reviews... I feel, Bay followed up with this, just so he could double down on his style & flair and be unapologetically him as a director. Every action scene in this movie is a straight banger. Nice use of both practical and visual FX and stunt work. And actually, Will Smith had done "Ali" in '01, so he was fresh off getting swole for that movie. He definitely was in that phase of wanting to keep showing that shit off, so he kept muscle for this movie.

I see Tara, I see Andrew... I hit like. I mean It's not that hard.

This is my favorite Bad Boys movie out of the 4 movies. It was just perfectly written and filmed. It's such a step up from the original film.

💯 awesome flick by Bay

The hummer scene where it drives down through all the houses was done as a homage to one of Michael Bay’s favorite movies - Police Story, a classic Jackie Chan movie from the 80s, where there’s a very very similar scene.

Happy I got to see a premiere of this movie in Miami. It was fun to watch with an audience

Net even to the movie yet and all these extra explosions are killing me! 🤣

Looking at these action sequences, it makes sense that Michael Bay wants to do something with Skibidi Toilet.

This is one of my favorite ones from the franchise! Especially the scene with Reggie! 😂🤣 Y’all gotta check out 3 & 4 too! I saw part 4 twice!

Trevor Rabin also did the score for Gone in 60 Seconds with Nic Cage & Angelina Jolie. I remember watching a "making of" for this movie back in the day, & IIRC they said that this was made around the same time as the Matrix Reloaded (that also had a big freeway chase scene) and this one cost like half of what the Matrix one did.

They did TRY to make a Bad Boys spin-Off Series starring Sid (Gabrielle Union). it's called L.A.'s Finest and co-stars Jessica Alba; who plays Syd's partner. There's even a mention of Mike but it's very fleeting.

Tara has me sayin Juice now, i really enjoy this one. The 360 shots in the shootout in the house is epic. The car chase is insane. Love it. Bad boys for life. The drama of everyone putting their lives on the line for his sister was just emotionally well hit.

1:10:20 if I remember correctly the stunt guy that did that drive down the hill had to make sure to stay in the middle of it. Because on one side was a 60 foot drop and the other was a 30 foot drop. It's such a crazy good scene. Lol

Ive been going back in forth in my own head about which Bad Boys is my fave. I havent seen 4 yet but i doubt itll be better than this one ❤
