Judging from the final few words, they were actually still near the ship. One of the pilots stayed behind to ask for backup using the communication channel, the others stayed outside to fend off the animals. If they hadn't stayed outside, the beast might rip through the ship and damage the power line, which would stop them from transmitting a message to call for backup. They actually did everything right, except Hemlock was unwilling to waste resources.

It would make too much sense for the TK's to hunker down in their cover as opposed to exposing themselves when they know there are hostiles in the area. But hey gotta make it clear there are terrors out there right?

Staying in a confined space with terrors around is probably the dumbest thing you can do if you're unsure of rescue. You have No vision of the jungle around you, and very limited vision in front of you of up to maybe 50 feet. There's also no guarantee the "Terrors" wouldn't just rip the ship apart anyway... So unsure of your logic, just know its shit. Situation was shitty all around, But you're better off attempting to return to base than wait out to prolong death by hiding in a POSSIBLY Safe ship.

Lol. I actually served in my Army as an Infantryman. My logic is based in reason and relative experience. You're assuming a lot about the size and power of the creatures for them to be powerful enough to rip the ship apart and with what? Are you assuming they're just going to pull the ship apart? I'd rather take my chances knowing there's only one solid entrance for our attackers to enter from. Limiting your fields of fire will do more for you then making some blind speedrun through the jungle. You're just being a contrarian for the sake of it. @@raymondcruz2686

I’m sure it’s happened before. Happening now, in Eastern Europe might I add. There have been reports of both sides making strategic counterattacks to keep gaps open for retreating troops to exit the salients before being encircled and overrun. I’d guess that’s when the rescue teams make their move. From what I’ve learned from reporting channels, it’s normally because the enemy controls the forests, settlements, and surrounding heights, with artillery constantly bombarding the roads behind the opposing defenders to disrupt their supply lines, leaving those unfortunate under-supplied defenders stuck with the lower and much open terrain, and a smaller obvious corridor linking those near-encircled troops with the rest of the frontline. Chances of survival go way below zero for the defenders and their wounded who couldn’t move away in time, they eventually meet the enemy troops approaching them to within normal talking distance, with their weapons aimed at them at point-blank range, and it becomes a matter if they shoot or not, as shown through the drone videos KZread wouldn’t allow to have uploaded on its platform.

It makes perfect sense you're just not able to think critically about it. I'll spoonfeed you like you're subtly asking me to. Cartoons tend to oversimplify complex matters due to time constraints of episodes and simply due to the level of maturity it's target audiences often are: children. Hence, important and critical nuance necessary to paint an accurate portrayal of the universe at hand is then lost as a result. What you are left with is something that is visually appealing and scarce in true world-building. Evil for the sake of evil. Good to a laughable fault. These are tropes that should be used sparingly as their effect lessens with prolonged usage. Something modern Star Wars writers no longer seem to grasp given a few notable exceptions.@doctahwahwee2237

That's why this week's episode didn't kill the entire Batch because of the perimeter sonar systems keeping the savage wildlife out. Hemlock didn't kill them. The storm did. Anything beyond the wall wants to kill them, so why risk more troops who will end up with a similar fate of being a tasty snack for animals? He is a pragmatist, and understands that it's unfortunate what happened, but it is beyond the Empire's capabilities to rescue people beyond the wall. @@ErykRoll If you had watch a New Hope, you would have known that the Stormtroopers purposedly missed their shots to allow Luke, Leia and Han to escape and then follow them to their base... In ESB, they kill. In ROTJ, they wound Leia. The Ewok part is minor
