Excellent investment here, man. S-1 is a permanent fixture in my studio. STUNNING AT ANY PRICE. Many years ago I had an SH-101. it took a lot more extra effort to get the monophonic sounds it made, to sound as great as the S-1 does. Then there are the other voice modes S-1 is capable of..Imagine multiple S-1's at once.. I'll be 52 in Dec. I began messing with electronics to create my music, in the mid 1980's. For decades I always sold gear when I got bored with it, in my younger years, but now I'm putting a lot more years behind me, I've stopped selling gear I don't use much. They'll have to sell off my gear when I'm dead. 😄 To me, cool gear is a great investment in several ways.

Great demo, I was wondering how the S-1 handled bass. I'm eager to pair it with an SP404MKII, looking forward to getting to know it since the Roland style menu diving is really no problem for those of us born before iPhones 😆 Thanks for your videos and general energy

As someone who really wants to give this ago so I can make music for small games what would you recommend getting to start off? Do you just need a Roland S1 and a PC? The kind of music your making is really inspiring and the way your making it off the cuff looks really fun too!
