How did the real blues go over in seal Beach ca

Pretty well, a few people stopped and listened for a few songs, others slowed their pace to have a casual quick listen, many kept walking - busy getting on with their day. I did meet Leon Russel's ex-wife, she talked a bit about meeting Freddie King while at Shelter Records, that was very cool! Unfortunately, she came by as I was almost done packing up, but we chatted for a few. Another guy, he stayed for a handful of songs, we chatted between songs about Lockwood, Johnny Dyer, and others...Never thought anyone out there would know any of those names. A very cool experience, no preconceived ideas about the music, raw audience, what I think blues should be more about, play a quiet volume, approachable, march to my own beat, play where I want to play, leave when I want to leave, people watch, I managed to make some tips too, comparable to some of the gig I've done in 1/4 of the time. I plan on doing it regularly as time permits. Thank you for the interest. Maybe I'll do a post about the experience soon.
