I feel bathed in beauty when I watch your videos. Thank you for making my afternoon a brighter, more beautiful one. I would bet that almost nothing about your life is easy. You are growing flowers/ shrubs to make bouquets and keep your garden. Anything that lives is vulnerable to pests, disease, and failure. You are making videos in your second language. You have had to live in a society where your interests and passions have been considered different; you work a full time job while producing first rate videos and floral art; you keep a beautiful and productive garden whilst juggling the former; and you maintain relationships with your partner, family and friends. 💗

Hello Cranery Gardens…..So nice to find your videos as I am also an avid gardener. Your bouquets are absolutely stunning, I love the colours, you are very talented. I grow 8-9 hundred mostly annual flower seedlings for my own enjoyment and to make bouquets for myself. I live in Western Canada in a rainforest and we have slugs. May I suggest that leaving your leaves in your garden and pots it giving them a place to hide and procreate and each adult slugs makes thousands of babies. On my Dahlias and Delphiniums I use copper or zinc bands as they get a shock from them and I remove lower leaves so that they cannot avoid the bands. You are probably much nicer than me and you do not want to harm them…..You are a very special person…….do not stop being you. I look forward to many more videos……Happy Gardening 👨‍🌾

Happy Anniversary! I have had some gardening disappointments this year, especially with rabbits eating some of my plants, like lilies. I was out of town when they ate them. Normally, I protect them from rabbits and other animals with liquid repellant and cayenne powder, this time of year.

Hi Crane, I am a new subscriber....found you through Jessie at B.a.r.e Flower Farm...I so enjoy your videos, and your garden is so beautiful!!! I am in tears....your story of finding your passion is so moving....wishing you much success in life and gardening!

Oh man the slugs… we have had an apocalyptic infestation of slugs in the UK this Spring. I have lost ALL of my direct sown Sunflowers, Zinnias, Rudbeckia, Helichrysum, Apple Mint etc etc… totalling around 500-1000 potential stems. I have had to start from scratch; sowing into pots and growing on in the greenhouse so the seedlings become stronger before planting out. My whole planting schedule has been put back at least a month. I have cried, become disillusioned and doubted my ability; so I totally understand. So, my cut flower arrangement plans will just have to wait a while. When the flowers do arrive (& they will) the success will be even sweeter 💐 Ps the one raised bed that has been untouched by slugs (thankfully where I popped my pre-sprouted Dahlia tubers), has a ring of copper tape & mesh around the vertical perimeter ✅
