Go redcat, go !!!! Bought a kaiju 6 months ago. 4s and 6s runs.... Many. What a great truck i didn't expect it to be. But, but i don't beat the hell out of it.

ngl just got this truck a few months ago, got to drive it for the first time cause snow cleared up, most fun ive ever had for my first ever RC my favorite thing to do right now, is hit a fat donut to kick up dust, and drift out to see the beautiful headlights through the dirt

You have some of the best reviews for rc that I’ve seen I have red cat kaiju and love it my buddies like it but give me crap cuz it’s not traxxas. (One wat thinkers lol) I’ve enjoyed the kaiju so much I’m going to get my son the rc mt10e seems like a good buy at a good price

I like that you can lower the Throttle with the transmitter and just hand it to my grandson real quick.

This may be my first basher. I've been in rc hobby for awhile but scale stuff but son got a axial yeti xl and has a traxxas rustler vxl.

My TR MT10E was my first "real" hobby grade RC. I swapped out the ESC for a Hobbywing 120A and the pinion from a 9t to 11t. Changed the shocks to a set of metal from Hot Racing. Poppped in a Kaiju servo. Truck is WAY fun to drive.

I said the same thing but was told I could only manage a 11 tooth otherwise there's heat issues. For the same price you can get the landslide and then put the m2c chassis on it, and it's a tank.

This is a good durable truck really really overlooked. The trmt8e be6 is the most durable truck I've ever owned next to my xmaxx. This littler guy is awesome I've hit a fence at 50mph and only broke the body. Pivot balls super cool tunability plus durability. Just a really good truck. Also no plastic drive shaft bs to deal with.!

Do you have to adjust the motor mount or how do you accommodate the larger diameter of the 12 tooth pinion?

Some follow ups to the first looks I did on some race kits are almost wrapped up. Wendigo kit is almost done too.

I just got my roller. I opted for a 12t pinion which fit better than the stock 9t. I also using a Hobbywing 10bl120 for now and surpass 3660 4200kv. Xt60 on the esc. After using my 7th scale trucks was shocking to see how small this is, but see that it will be a rocket. I also installed Landslide shocks with original MT10E springs for better low ridding, had to change the ball ends. Reply

I bought a brushless volcano about a year ago.how is this in comparison to the redcat volcano epx pro?

I just bought this, How do I avoid breaking anything everyone keeps saying they break arms etc. Does that happen even if driving it normal no jumps?

I'm just wondering where is best to not have things break on this truck due to other comments on here . I plan on driving it on the road and flat gravel tracks.

I’ve had this truck for three days and broke the steering and the knuckle twice now but luckily parts are cheap for the truck

How did you fix the problem, mine's wont turn it sounds as if it wants to but nothing moves from the truck, what do you recomend??

REdCat uses a rebranded Fly sky radio I like it

Yup it a good radio. No need to swap it out for general RC fun.

I had some issues with mine, the axles would snap after jump (sometimes) and then I broke a few arms and steering bell cranks fairly frequently. When it was becoming unavailable to the sources for my parts, I sold it. I got a rustler 4x4 vxl and that thing is so much worse. Ive heard great things about the granite 4x4 blx being able to handle 4s and take tons or abuse, how does it stack up against this one? I am a little skeptical to take the same plunge I did a while back and end up with the same issues as it looks like they have not been changed.

I'm a 1/6 and 1/7 for super durable truck and dune buggy, but this one had issues, nice review, always find duribility to tested,🤨redcat is trying very hard to make it, but this one is fun😏 for teens and adults can make upgrades to make it better and stronger, the grade will be B- hopefully needs good duribility and jumping.🧐

When you get told you can only buy parts this month...😭 $200 in parts ordered later. Well you didn't give me a limit my love. 😎

Great review! As someone looking to get into RC, your channel is very helpful. You made a good point about what type of terrain to drive this on, so I wonder, for terrain like this, are there any sub $400 RC's that you would specifically recommend? I have an area like this by me, which is primarily where I would be using mine.

If you’re looking to stick with the Redcat brand, the Kaiju would be the way to go. Run it on 4S, it handles well and holds up well with the 4S power. My other Redcat suggestion would be the Dukono, but I don’t think they’re offering the Pro version anymore. The brushed version is ok, but you might want to upgrade to a BL system rather quickly.

Should be fine with most bodys. Just measure the body hole's

This vehicle is originally a Team Magic E5. An absolute beast that comes normally with 3 diffs and not just 2. Team Magic also offers it as an ARTR version with almost all hop-ups but without electronics. That is the way to go. It's also considered more of a race monster-truck than an all purpose basher. Redcat should also market it that way.

One more thing If I drive it normal on a flat surface do you think the steering arms etc will break easily or is that only when and if you start going into rough areas and do jumps etc?

It’ll hold up great for that stuff, I’ve been beating the crap out of mine and only broke a servo saver just recently. It’s really fun to drive through turns and rip around some small jumps. I put the center differential in and it’s very easy to control.

When my servo saver broke only one side would steer. The servo was still working, if your servo breaks it usually just burns out and so you won’t have any steering function. in my case it was still easy to see and hear servo itself actuating. The savers are just a cheap plastic part and hold up really well. I had to really smack land it at the skate park.

@@paulmeier6585 Good to know dude, Yeah my old short course 1/10 torment battery was discontinued so the ones I have charge but no movement or steering so moved on and really enjoy this. I have a 2s battery but might go to a 3s.

Same class of truck, but their chassis, suspension and driveline designs are very different.

I just got this truck last week and barely used the thing but it did the same damn thing . It sheared off the rear bevel gear too. I was using 3s also. I emailed redcat about it and they told me the don't really recommend 3s for this truck was his exact words. Not sure why they still show its 3s capable on their site still if this is a big issue.

17mm hex right Greg? Edit doesn't look 17mm. Someone had told me it was ☹. Also do you know what stock pinion size is? Also that was some pretty rough stuff. Gave us a great old school jeng durability montage.

They’re 14mm, mine measured 13.94mm with my calipers. The pinion is 9T.

It takes like $1 and 5 minutes to solder on a different connector.

@@10njbytes40 Ikr. Even if he doesn't have the equipment (solder gun, solder and connectors) usually your local hobby shops will do it for 5-7$ or some times free

Nice. I would suggest to anyone getting this truck to upgrade it with a center diff.. I'm assuming it's available Gregg? I don't even like running my big Arrma and Traxxas Vehicles around rocks. I prefer the grass and dirt at the park 👍

There is a center diff kit...the o rings don't fit it very well tho so it's a nightmare to assemble

It can be on really rough terrain. I tried numerous times to run it on smoother dirt terrain but couldn’t. It came to a point where I had to test where I could so I can move onto other content. But all things considering this video does show it can take a lot and will handle well on the right terrain.

It look good but RedCat doesn't warranty bad part . Which make Traxxas and or Arrma the truck to buy !!!

Thanks!! In the video I talk about it being much better suited for smooth dirt surfaces such as a BMX track. There the performance is much better. With aluminum towers, steel drive axles highly tuneable suspension, it is nowhere near a toy grade.

I wish arrma would put a center diff in the their 3 and 4s line. This will be my next basher for sure. I've beat and upgraded the living sxxt outta my granite (converted to outcast), just wish they would ditch the slipper😠
