Hello Leon! I really appreciate you making this video, I have shared your video with my whole team to use as reference while we are transferring data. I do have one question: Once the reports are moved into Looker Studio how do we know we did everything correctly? Could you possibly make a video on how to design a report from these data pulls? Thanks again for making this video!

Hi Leon! Thanks a lot for sharing this! So, just to have it as a backup, you will still recommend the paid version of Matomo?? 🤔

I've browsed through several tutorials but yours was awesome and crystal clear. So now can we import this old data into Analytics 4? Thank you so much!

Hi Leon, thanks for this helpful overview! Is the Google Spreadsheet export a necessary step for storing UA data in Looker Studio, or will Looker Studio reports with UA source created now instead of Spreadsheets still be available after the UA shutdown?

Hey there! No if UA has stopped working, looker studio will not be able to retreive data from there after it is gone. You'll need to secure your data to a place that is future proof and linkable with Looker Studio to be able to use it there.

Hi Leon, thanks for this video! Super helpful! I have clients who use e-commerce, have you got a video/template on the best data to extract for them? Thank you!

Thanks! It depends on the wishes of my clients, but I usually add transactions and revenue to every table instead of goal conversions. And I make a seperate table with product performance. I don't know the names by heart but basically a table with products and the amount sold.

Thanks for the awesome tips, Leon! It really helps :D But I wonder, do we need to manually save the data that we've exported? I mean, currently, the Add-ons get data from UA in real time, but after July, the data in UA will disappear. Do we have to download each Google Sheet one by one? Especially when we want to generate different date ranges. Thanks! I appreciate your answer.

Although downloading the Google Sheet is perhaps a good idea as a backup. It is not strictly necessary for the import to work. The addon won't do a realtime import or even daily import. We didn't set a scheduled run, so it imports your data only once. After that it won't override your data or anything like that.

Dear Leon, is it possible to import your data to Matomo as you mentioned and then do an export from Matomo into CSV, Excel, whatever? I know that you can do those kinds of exports via GA but maybe Matomo's export is more advanced or this route may offer some other benefits?

I'm just getting started with using Matomo myself, so it's hard for me to answer the question. I believe you can do a trial, so perhaps you can just try it yourself?

Hey Leon! I'm running into Google Sheets cell limits when exporting longer periods for dimensions like Landing & Top Pages. I solved that by exporting the data in several batches. But... how do I combine those in Looker Studio? I've tried using a data blend, but that only gives me 1 of the date ranges. Any tips?

Hey Michiel 👊🏻 Blending in Looker Studio is not easy. I havent done what you're trying to do, but the coalesce() function has saved me a couple of times in similar situations. Here is a great video where I first found out about this function: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gKt6zLOkqZW_qps.html&ab_channel=TwoOctobers
