Yes, from 2020. Can you tell me how the backup works ? I want to upgrade to windows 10. Will it stay in the same drive even after installing windows 10 ? Like i can't understand how it works, does it occupy the same amount of total data space or it is compressed ? I'm confused.

What happens if you choose “all information on this computer”? Nowhere I’ve read up on has an answer.

search for "windows xp ntbackup.exe" it's the first link in a google search. xp DOES NOT come with this by default REGARDLESS of the windows updates AND regardless of the service pack number you have. cheers

Search your computer for an application called BackupSetup. Chances are it was never installed fully, but it is definitely there.

If you can't find your backup and recovery creator... Go to start, search, change the file type to search for to "application" and search for BackupSetup and install that. For some reason mine was never installed in the 8 years Ive had my old ass computer.

What are you talking about, there's no " change the file type to search for to "application" and search for BackupSetup and install that"

  • @JonEhBee

You're not literally searching for "Change file type to search for to application". wow..... Really? 1) Click start. 2) Click search. 3) Check the box that says "files and folders" 4) In advanced settings you need to change the search setting called "File type" to "Application" becuase "BackupSetup is an application. 5) Backupsetup.exe is what you are looking for so type BACKUPSETUP in the search bar and click search. When it pops up in the results, double click it. ALL YOU REALLY HAVE TO DO IS SEARCH FOR "BACKUPSETUP.EXE. Changing the advanced search setting file type just narrows it down for a faster search.

This is only good if you can boot up the PC. What if the MBR is damaged? How do you boot? You need something else like Acronis boot up disk or Clonezilla.

I've heard about this feature in Windows xp tour. I've never been using this function in Windows xp. I'm a really dummy persion in the world. I'm not technical geek like everyone else in the world. It makes me sad mood for a while.
