Not true... Huge BSB fan... I don't like this song.... Never have... was super disappointed when it first came out. I thought Millennium was going suck because of it. Then the other songs made me love the album. I never thought this song made sense.

Nope... just agree with BSB, they don't even know what the song is talking about, there was different lyrics but the record label made them and the songwriters change them to make it more vague. They say the original lyrics were better and actually made sense.

Truth! I say the same thing! It’s not possible to hate this song. As a 90s grunge teenager that wanted to hate on a boy band like this. I tried to hate this song but I couldn’t. It’s a gem! And then I realized most of their songs are awesome.

Couldn't appreciate this as a kid because it wasn't my usual genre but as an adult and can admit that this slaps.

I'm currently 28 years old. They used to be my jam when I was a kid. I'd sing and dance to their songs so much, lol.

And it’s so good they are still active and together all of these years later

My childhood. I loved them then and I'm in my 30s now and still love then and listen to them until this day. They are timeless legends.

BSB do not describe themselves as a boy band, but they are a Vocal Harmony Group.

I’m about to turn 30 and I got this as one of my first CDs for Christmas when I was about 7 or 8. 😅 takes me back

My kids used to make me crazy with this CD. Now I miss them being young.

They were formed in early 90's, in 1993. The first song they came out with the song, "We've Got It Goin' On" in 1996. There were also some hit songs in 1996, on their first album too, like "Anywhere For You", "I'll Never Break Your Heart", and "Quit Playin' Games (With My Heart)". This song, "I Want It That Way" was from 1999, so it was since late 90's. I was 5-8 years old when they released their first album, which was since 1996, I was 5 haha Now I'm 30 years old. Wow...

New Kids on the Block was the precursor to Back Street Boys. My friends and I went NUTS over them, screaming our brains out at their concerts. 😂❤️

This made way for *NSYNC and 98 degrees

Backstreet Boys were huge from the mid 90s to the early 2000s. And when I say huge, I mean HUGE. This was THE boyband in the boyband era. The sound was mainly created by Max Martin and Denniz Pop, who also wrote and produced for Britney Spears and *NSYNC. And even Bon Jovi(!). The sound was clearly R&B based, but also evidently more poppy to appeal to the (female) masses. Now one could hate on these “whitewashed” R&B tunes, but it was genius of course as they spit out hit after hit.

They still are THE Boyband (to me along with Westlife) Recent boybands sucks... For example 1D that for like a few years was considered their heir never was able to reach neither a bit of their success or musical quality 🥰🥰

BSB is one of The biggest selling groups of all time. They have sold over 100 million records worldwide. They are icons! They came together in 1993 and are still going strong! The "boyband era" was over when BSB released "Never Gone" in 2005. But all their albums have been in The TOP 10 at billboard... Lowest was "This is Us" (Great album) in 2009 which debuted at #9. BUT their latest album "DNA" released in 2019 sold over 220k copies in The US in The First week and was #1 on billboard. They sell out stadiums all over The world. This is one of The greatest groups ever!

Let me tell you, I was six when this came out, and I was obsessed with the Backstreet Boys. I wouldn’t even listen to *NSYNC (to the point I would literally plug my ears if one of their songs came on the radio) out of loyalty to my boyband of choice. I’m turning 28 this year and I can say I still love me some bsb.

I think this is a great song. Back in the day, I wasn't listening to this kind of music at this time, so I had no interest. Now, when I hear it, I really appreciate their vocal skills...and its so pretty. Edit...so if this came out in '99, I was 40- Backstreet Boys were not on my radar.

Boy Bands like BSB came just after the fall of grunge rock and hair bands. They took over like badassess they look like.

In my late 30's during the boy band era; no time..fluff, screaming teens. I was wrong. These ( men now) are truly talented and have matured from a boys pop group to an ensemble of men creating moving ballads of superior quality.

This is my fav song to sing. I love their tone. My daughter was my daughters teenage crush. well, nick. Her whole wall was covered with pic of them. I took her and her friend to see them in vegas. When they came out, they looked like they were in a fight. Her jaw was really swollen and her friends knees were black and blue. From screaming and slamming into the seat in front of them. NO KIDDING> LOLOLOL> She did have her dream come ture meating them all in Vegas a few years back. VIP all the way. She worked with AJ"S cousin. Her FB photo is still her and Nick. lol.

The first generation of k-pop started with Seo taiji and boys that came out in 1991... And backstreet boys' debut was a few years after. But you're not completely wrong, the seo taiji and boys' music was like a mix of American pop and Korean ig. Good day

No. The BEST boy band of ALL TIME are the BEATLES. They were younger than bsb and they were an ACTUAL BAND playing instruments.

BSB definitely paved the way for groups like One Direction. It can even be argued that they paved the way for Nsync, although they came pretty soon after BSB hit it big. It was a cash equation ripe for the taking. But the boy band trend goes back further. New Kids On The Block can't be forgotten.

BSB made the way for every "boyband" of the boyband era.. beforem during, and after it ended. Without them, there would be NO Nsync, NO JT, No 1D, No 5ive, No Westife.
