Can anyone appreciate that all 5 of these guys are all alive and well today and still a band (ie: never broke up) and are still touring & get along relatively well? They’re literally the only (boy)band that can claim this type of consistent longevity. They have my heart forever!

Most bands breaks up after a few years and usually go solo or find other things to do, but these guys stayed together and are still together to this day. They are just not a band, they are best friends, family❤️

It's crazy how Brian has not even a little solo here, but then, he was one of the more representative and the distinctive voice timbre in the band. Oh and crazy too how Kevin and Howie, who sings the less in Backsteet's history, here are basically the main vocals, specially Howie. About Nicj and AJ, they always were front voices, as the way Brian is now, and for me THE voice of the band, him and the great AJ

Yeah when I think of BSB, I think of Brian, AJ and Nicks voice. My favorite was Brian’s voice which I thought was always very sultry sounding. Brian was also the cutest. Howie never stood out to me, even in his solos.

Backstreet Boys didn't get a proper setup until Max Martin got involved. He made Brian the lead singer, with Nick & AJ coming in afterwards and then Kevin & Howie more as background. He looked at their voices and Brian was THE voice in his opinion. The one with x factor. Listening to everything they made with Max Martin, Brian was almost always the backbone of the sound. Amazing talent

Howie being the main lead earlier on is prolly why he wouldn't do the backstreet return album and tour without having more vocals in any new songs. Crazy and I can understand his view point from being the man to the 4th voice is prolly a big kick to the ego. Would they been just as big if he stayed the lead or had a bigger role we will never know.... What we do know is the other way worked and made them one of the biggest boy bands to ever exist..pretty he was still getting tail even as the 4th guy and same amount of money but still man must of had some shit solo nights doubting himself. Othrt thing is his voice seems to went stagnate after the demotion too. Wither it's confidence or development he never sounded like a lead ever again even when he had his solo parts later on. Must if never developed both in confidence and vocal after the reshuffling. Again hard for anyone in his position to complain or do anything about it once they blew up but man can yiu imagine how that first couple years was like for him and the tall guy to a certain extent. Still like the 13th man NBA, 23rd man NHL, practice squad nfl ya still got it better then 90% of the population. I'm thinking most would of done the same he done, swallow ur pride to stay on the team and kept mouth shut as much as u can but again it's quite the kick in the pride sac. Payed off financially for him but im guessing he probably doesn't feel full satisfaction artistically wise for himself. Hey man atleast u weren't the #3 and 4 guys on nsync now thats just a spot filler.

You should search and watch Nick's wedding video where all the boys give him a toast and blessing to him and his bride. Very moving speech. Love that they all had attended each other wedding and vacation together with their family outside the band. ❤

Watching this in 2022. I grew up listening to their music since the 90's. So many boybands I know are not together anymore except this band right here! Despite they have their own family now but this is the only boyband I know that is still going strong until this day, they are still active with their music, touring around and performing for their fans. Not only that their friendship is so strong but they also look up each other as brothers. I am so proud of these guys achievements. They have come so far and yet their band is unbreakable! BSB Forever :)

I took my daughter to see them when she was 16. Their concert was electrifying. I believe Mandy Moore sang before they did. She is 39 now and I'm 66. I still love all their songs because I'm just cool that way. 🤪

Howie and AJ were the first two members. Kevin is the one who brought Brian into the group. Kevin was working as Aladdin at the Disney resort in Orlando when he was recruited for BSB. He told the producers that his cousin Brian was a great singer and they had him flown in from Kentucky.

OMG literal babies at the time. I was at their concert in Cologne on Monday and they killed it. After 29 years, their energy, voices and dance moves are still unmatched. The concert was sold out within minutes back in April and they even announced a second date for Cologne. No one can pull that off after almost 30 years. The vibe at their concert was also unmatched. I have never experienced anything like that at any other concert. They are not only singers who sing their songs and move on, they are true performers and put up one hell of a show. They make sure that you have a great time. I really hope to see them again in Cologne.

As long as there will be music we'll be coming back again! I think they are the best Group of All Time!

BSB have been through one heck of a journey. Wish more people would appreciate their growth in music instead of invalidating them based on one video.. they themselves admitted it's bad.. but they've grown since and I congratulate them for that. Also music from their Never Gone era (2005) onwards really showcases their musical diversity and I think those should get more of the spotlight, including their unreleased gems.

Literal legends. Work their way from the bottom to the top. Still the best selling album for active boy band till now.

We need a reaction video featuring the Backstreet Boys themselves. I'm sure they'd have a ball watching their old performance and making fun of their fashions and hairstyles of the time.

They are still together and doing shows. That is amazing. Has any other band been together with all members this long? Its incredible and just goes to show their bond and loyalty to one another.

Backstreet boys fan since I was 8 years old. I am 34 now. When u saw them in concert three years ago, my childhood dream came true. I can't explain how it feels to see them in concert. I would never forget that day.❤️🙏 Love them for ever

Ganda Gandara their latest album DNA debuted #1 on billboard 200 and the are still selling out shows ( I went to a sold out show last week in atl) plus the took a hiatus in 2001 and didn’t comeback until 05 with the release of Never Gone which went platinum. Then Kevin left, music changes and the big wigs only like “young new faces” so even though BSB were still releasing albums and have a steady reliable core fan base. The music industry doesn’t care and pushes who they want to the forefront ( a major reason why we hear mediocre ppl on the radio and the same 5 songs on repeat, while they’re amazing artist in the background not getting recognized) any BSB has been going strong for 26 yrs and never really fell off.

@@methebee - Their old label JIVE and songwriters/producer had the say on who was the main vocal and who was the backup vocals for their songs. The boys had to be a team players since they were new to the industry. Howie had more solo parts on the songs he co-wrote - for example "What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful)" and "How Did I Fall in Love with You". He expressed his struggle a bit in their 2015 BSB documentary from being the lead vocal then push to back vocal once they got their record deal.

Get Down and Quit Playing Games was the first songs I got into BSB, when I was in grade school in 90's. My classmates used to dance with it.

If you want to describe the early 90's in one video just share this video: the music, the color shirts, the hair cuts, the graffited wall in the back, the dance, and even the fans make it. Also I feel a lot more of respect for these guys that I used to laugh about because my older sister was a huge fan of them when I was a kid.

The 90s were a very complicated time for getting teen pop acts to take off, especially given the grunge/alternative music scene that was extremely popular at the time.

Backstreet Boys never died👏

What are the CHANCES that they will still be here after 25 years, showing us the SHAPE OF THEIR HEARTS, it's obvious they want it MORE THAN THAT because every time they leave, we feel INCOMPLETE. IN A WORLD LIKE THIS, they never cease to QUIT PLAYING GAMES WITH OUR HEARTS, but I think it's fair to say, THEY WANT IT THAT WAY. So Backstreet Boys, PLEASE DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART!

I give these dudes credit for sitcking it out. I didn't realize that they go back as far as 1993. NKOTB were on their way out, Nirvana and Seattle grunge was killing it, early 90s hip-hop rnb was peaking and gangsta rap was about to exploded on the scene. Pop music had fizzled out a little bit during this period of the 90s and they could of easily moved onto other things.

Very true, most guys would have said we are just a rip off of NKOTB and not taken seriously. When you go back to 1993, musical tastes have changed from squeaky clean pop music to hip hop, RnB and Alternative music. There was a mistrust with pop music here in the states because of NKOTB scandal for not signing live on a few shows, MJ scandal with the kids, and the Milli Vanilli scandal a few years prior. You couldn't call a vocal group a boy band during the mid 90s. We did have them like Boys 2 Men and All 4 One, It really wasn't until 96 when pop music was starting to creep back here in the US. BSB did have a song in the summer of 95 as their debut but didn't fare well here as it did overseas. You didn't hear the name of BSB or saw their videos on MTV in 95 and 96. I credit the Spice Girls and Hanson for opening the door for pop music in 97, then BSB were reintroduced to the US and the pop music flood gate opened after that, literally.

Wow they look very talented, maybe someday they will become one of legendary Boybands in the world.

Sí cambio uno, antes de B-Rock había otro chico, en algunos vídeos se ve. Aunque no cuenta porque aun no firmaban con JR. Incluso a Ryan Gosling se le dio la oportunidad de ingresar y no quiso, años después moriría de arrepentimiento.

The only thing she said wrong was that they are the "next NKOTB" I mean bsb made their own name, they were not a copy of any boyband ever.

Today is a week since I've attended the DNA world tour concert in my hometown of Johannesburg, South Africa and I have been reminiscing the entire day watching the videos from last Saturday.. it was was absolutely incredible! Just got done with my chores for the day and I get on KZread and this is the first video I see and I'm in tears thinking back on how each band member spoke so highly of their fans and how far they have come especially Kevin who broke down expressing his gratitude towards his fans and how they could have never been here if it wasn't for us, also Brian thanking us for giving them a job all these years.. there was also a point during the show where they stopped and spoke about how old they were when they started the band gosh.. I cannot put into words how much I love these guys
