Backpacking Washington - Ancient Lakes - Part 2 of 2

It's the second half of our Ancient Lakes adventure. Jen and I have set up basecamp, scrambled up to the top of the waterfall, and now it's time to go find our way to Dusty Lake. But the big question is how do we get there.

Thanks for showing the “actual” walk from the parking lot to Ancient Lakes. Other videos showed a lot of detours, scrambles etc. which didn’t help us determine if our 3 year old could handle the loop. We had a great day on the loop trail and our little one loved it!

There are some great spots to find solitude camping out there, but there is no way I'm blasting where on the old interweb. Either way, it's a great area for exploring. I've been there a bunch of times, and I'm still finding great new places!!!

Some of our friends like to hate on our chairs because we have to balance on them. To be honest, I haven't had a single time where I wish I had four legs on my chair. :)

Ahh yes, the little talked (videoed) down-climb. Thankfully we were able to tell from the topo that we wouldn't have to struggle with that on the way back. :)
