Backpacking to a seldomly visited Uintas lake that kicks out chunky tiger trout.
Спорт
I went to a small High Uintas lake that sees very little traffic. I had only been to this lake one other time long ago on my way to another lake. It's a lake that kicks fat fish but is one that is also prone to winter kill. It was a royal pain to get to it, but it was fun trip overall. I got into some fish and enjoyed some good food. Thanks for tagging along.

It was fun even with the mishaps--and the jerk that hit my truck haha
Nice, that pizza is such a good idea. Sorry to see the truck bumper, that really stinks.

It's not the end of the world. Karma is coming for the jerk though haha
A few months ago I spoke with a DWR officer that happened to mention the Division's budget was really stretched to the limit - the same with the Forest Service and everyone else that maintains trails, campgrounds, and services for fishermen, campers and backpackers. Trail maintenance is probably near the bottom of the priority list. Keep sharing your adventures - I look forward to every new one you produce!

I'll keep sharing them--even if they all end up being bushwhacks.
Great looking pizza! 👌

What’s your rod/reel set-up? I’m local but only 2 yrs into fly fishing and have had a hard time finding a setup that loads well for Uinta lake fishing. Love your content man - keep it coming!

I have several setups. A 9ft 5 wt is a good place to start. You'll want an extra spool or two. You need at a minimum a floating and full sink line. You'll probably want to get a sink tip line as well. I'm glad you enjoy the content 👍
Winter kill, the slow driver and the bumper buddy. These are the trips that make the good ones rock at least.

Looking forward to seeing your wyoming trip. I hope the person that hit your truck never catches a fish the rest of their life. That really sucks.

It would be awesome---all three of my videos since i pretty much do the same thing over and over haha
That really sucks about the bumper. People suck. That's why we hang out with fish, right? Speaking of which, sorry the 6 year olds either eluded you or don't exist anymore. The pizza looked good though.

It was fun even with the mishaps. The decaying fish were definitely bigger than anything i caught but they weren't as big as the fat 17 inch fish from the pic i saw
Boy, that is one rotten person to the core who would do that to another person's vehicle and then just drive away. How deep was that lake? It sure looked shallow.

The lake is super shallow. The max depth is under 6ft. It would probably completely die off each year if it weren't for the springs
