Quick note on the clip, you don't necessarily need batteries in the controller. If you have a short USB c cord you can just connect the controller directly to the phone. The phone will power the controller and you eliminate the lag that you get from Bluetooth

I owned the Kishi V1 and loved it but the V2 I got made it exactly what I wanted from the v1. I was so glad they made it like the backbone

I prefer the full sized controller but it's too heavy when I am holding it while laying down. Can't be good for your tendons if you use it daily.

I bought second generation of Backbone One compatible with cases and I am really satisfied now :)

I decided to go with SteelSeries controller for my ipad and iphone not having a built in rechargeable battery is not great

I just got the backbone getting one that looks like my ps5 is appealing. I also picked the one I saw in the store that was selling on Black Friday

iPhone 13 pro (max) and iPhone 14 series are not flat with the adapter on the backbone one, which is pretty annoying.

The kishi V2 is amazing.. works with my case and has programable buttons and it helps with shooting games..works with my series x and ps5.. and I got it on sale at target for $29.99 cause it was a open box.. I got a deal and I’m loving it lol

Idk why but I prefer the v1 because of the grips and thumb stick placement making it easier to comfortably hold, not only that. But the thumb stick size being the same size as something like Xbox or PlayStation, which give more surface area to hold.

For the razor Kishi are the grips bigger than the backbone one?

I like my backbone but barely use it, id rather have the PS5 stand and its cheaper although heavy.. i wish I returned it but I kind of like it. The backbone takes advantage of the phone’s haptics for rumble features. However, I don’t believe the razer Kishi does the same thing, but it is a software feature so it could be added later.

I was gona get the backbone but went the an Xbox controller so I can use it with Xbox gamepass with my MacBook and iPad

Tbh get either . Just know it’s not as precise but it’ll be good enough. If I had to choose I’ll always go with the razer it’s overall better but the backbone app is dope I just hate paying for stupid shit

Well , I put microfiber cloth later to wrap the plastic back. So the camera bump rest on the microfiber.

I have both and I hate these controller I recommend using the gaming vive flex controller

Backbone is great if you use gyro to aim on games like CODM. Given that it is direct connection you do get lot less button latency. If don’t use gyro the right analog is like a Nintendo Switch being that is right under the buttons and kinda uncomfortable feel. Just my opinion.

I hate the adapter you have to used for iPhone 13 on up for the backbone. It’s off centered and tacky to me

well im on my second backbone warranty replacement and am thinking about maybe other options

Just want to ask, I have the Kishi V2 controller, but in a couple of games, it moves on its own as if the right or left analog stick is drifting. Is this a bug, or could it be because my iPhone is getting hotter?

The Flex fits cases & they made the Razor 2

I like the Kishi V2 more than the Backbone to the point where the Backbone felt cheap, buttons were okay but they also felt cheaply made, there are a ton of features these companies keep forgetting about when designing these and I hate it... Nice review however just have yet to find the perfect mobile gaming controller and I own a ton of them lol.

Yes you can tell by the face plate pretty sure flat plates are Bluetooth and ones with a dip are not

I want to add the likes of backbone and their usb insert will wear off very quickly by design (I own galeo sir and sometimes I run straight into walls during codm games and it is unresponsive) and I definitely recommend a standard controller with the mount.

I have a MOGA XP-5 Xbox controller. Comes with phone clip, charging cable, and a direct connection cable with both USB-C Type and Micro USB Type on one cord. With mappable buttons on the back of the controller where your resting fingers go AND the ability to charge your phone with the controller while playing and an Xbox Gamepass home button. I have both the Razer Kishi V1 and V2 gamepads. The V2 is better but the top mappable buttons definitely get in the way. I tend to use the MOGA XP-5 mostly with the direct connect cable to eliminate input lag all while having that natural comfortable feeling. The V2 is my next one in line.

For me the xbox controller with the clip is too heavy and for cloud gaming the added latency of the bluetooth kills it. Great review anyway.

While too heavy. A half inch usb c to c eliminates controller latency though and is highly recommended.

I strictly use Xbox one controllers. I bought the razer Kishi v1 & the left stick broke in less than a month. And the triggers felt junk.

I have the controller clip and it’s pretty nice! Down side is that it is a little beefy of a setup and as you’ve said it’s a little difficult while traveling since I don’t wanna just throw my controller in a bag risking damage to the sticks. Latency is also an issue for those that are a bit more competitive. Haven’t tried the Kishi or Backbone yet trying to decide which to go with

I have the kishi v1 live it use it daily, i also have the kishi v2 but find myself using the v1 way more simoly because of the way it snaos together when not in use its small enough to carry in your pocket. I also use the Mantis controller pro button mapping app ( which i sideloaded and activiated) without paying for or needing a pc to activate the mantis controller buddy pro service and it works with every game you put on your device whether it has controller support or not

I got a raxer kishi v1 then my down button stayed pressing down in game.....So i bought a €10,35 china controller eith Codm en apex support on android kkkkkkk 10 days delivery so ill see when it arive kkkkk I dont agree. Totally with yoy. I dont see any differnce between a xbox and kishi controller once you got used to it Even worse it plays great on mobile..... I think if you have the nancon pro and get used to the feeling you orobably pkay 1 on 1 the same. Its really great So yeah try the nancon Pro if you can find a good deal, to see how youre experince is with thay since you can keep the case. But i only used the kishi for stardew valley and streaming fortnite(xbox) Since it didnt have codm and apex support i couldnt test it of course. Had a xbox one bck inthe du days so.... The cheao controller is the replacment now, otherwise i go xbox controller i think for the support. If nacon BT had support i would buy that 1 i think...

If you don’t have Xbox these things are not for you, you have a game console set up for u to get in for Xbox games

Pubg does not support controllers on mobile.

The Xbox style looks very clunky and like your phone is going to fall.

Razer is for free to use app

Smartphone holder is cheap and the best way to play (original controller) so win-win

Keep flipping the backbone so we can’t see the bad angle that it props the phone at

Hmm. Didn’t do anything intentional, yes there is a slight angle from the camera bump.

The backbone is hit and miss, the customer service and return department is crap. And for $100 bucks a warranty Should come with it , essentially since they don’t provide a case…what a waste of a almost good product..maybe backbone 2 will be perfect

I bought the Kishi V1 when I was using the iPhone 12. Now I have switched to iPhone 14 Pro Max and it won't plug into Kishi at all.🥲
