OMG Todd, this video is such a break in your already personal and in-touch video logging style and content. I have watched at least a thousand documentaries in my life and I felt so proud to be even a modest supporter of your work in Laos when I saw the intro to this one. You are a unique documentarist. As far as I can tell, from my limited knowledge and experience, if you are not becoming a master of this medium, you are definitely one of its original journeymen. See you in Laos.

That was brilliant. I think elephants are such beautiful gracious animals. The lady who runs the show is such a wonderful, beautiful person. It is an old saying that owners look like their pets, and I don't mean this to be rude, but the lady had large ears similar to an elephant, obviously not as big. which I thought was so beautiful.... Excellent tour is absolutely correct! I've missed ya brother. I hadn't seen you for awhile so I thought maybe that you'd escaped to Oz. This was amazing! Very intelligent creatures, these elephants. I really appreciate these people's approach to dealing with the ellys. Definitely a worthy cause. Now,,after watching this,,I'm wondering if there are any tiger protection programs in Lao. I think Vietnam has some tiger programs. When I was alot younger,,we had a Vietnam combat vet family friend. He'd never speak about combat,,,but he told a scary story about a tiger that stalked their platoon one night. Sadly,,they ended up having to kill it. He told that story about 25 yrs after,,,and it still made him super emotional. To me ,,knowing him from a young age and thinking of him as the toughest guy I knew,,,seeing him cry ,,the only time I saw him do that,,,over an animal was surprising. Took awhile for me to understand. One of the bigger animal protection programs in the U.S. is for the mexican red wolf,,,from Arizona to Texas. There was an Ocelots spotted in Az. A few months back,,super rare sighting,,and since about 90,,,there have been 5 or 6 Jaguar sightings in the U.S.,,in Az. and Texas,,first times in over 100 years. That to me is exciting. Thanks for this video Todd. Was super interesting. Was Neenee having troubles with her ankle? Walking in the park, I mean? You guys take care,,be safe,,,Ttyl,,,Marlon
