Back to school with Jori and Majed, Syrian refugees in America

It's Jori's first week of kindergarten in Dallas, Texas. Her big brother Majed just started Third Grade. Their family arrived as refugees from war-torn Syria nearly two years ago. Jori and Majed's mother, Bothina, was a teacher back home. She and her husband Tamam are glad their children are safe and in a good school, and now have a brighter future in America. But the Trump administration has moved to slash the number of families like theirs the United States accepts for resettlement each year. Stand with refugees: Watch and share this video. The International Rescue Committee helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future.

60's Anti-Poverty Volunteer Here: I'm "glad" that ANY children have access to a safe, quality education. I wish EVERY child EVERY where did. However, if there had NEVER been respected immigration restrictions in the US, those educational opportunities would NOT be there. NO SINGLE NATION can be the world's lifeboat WITHOUT SINKING ITSELF. President Trump understood ANY countries' 1ST obligation is to its own legally, native born citizens.

Any decent person is "glad" for this family . . . NOW, when are the other several hundred million in need going to be arriving in the US? WHO does NOT deserve educational opportunities?
