I remember walking around target a few years ago and a mother didn't want to get 48 count pencils for her kid. So she was talking to another parent in the store about emailing her child's teacher to see if its necessary to have that many since they use mechanical at home. When I was in school a teacher said that if the pencil (wooden) does not say #2 on the pencil its self its not a #2 pencil even if the package says it is. Then we had to find another pencil. Then in general there are teachers that don't want kids using mechanical pencils at all in class.

We used to spend 400$ for 4 kids just on school supplies on target and Walmart and now we spend 150$ on school supplies on staples and Office max for 4 kids still you get better deals
