This takes years to master and also you need to go to school for it you can't just learn leather making off of a few KZread videos

Hoping that the point was the process, because no matter how you cut it a leather lanyard is a shit idea. Even fully broken in it's gonna be a bit too rigid, stain like you said, and it's not going to be comfortable.
