Amarmani Tripathi is another of UP’s famed gangster-politicians who has been with many parties, from the Congress to the BJP, BSP and SP. The investigation into the case thus saw many twists and turns, decluttered here by Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta.

I belong to Basti, a place just 70 kms from Gorakhapur. In 90's and early 00's Amarmani's gang of kidnappers were a terror to be reckon with, many kids from prominent families were kidnapped. A very close family friend was kidnapped from his school in those days. Slowly their influence waned and kidnappings stopped. But Tripathi's should remain in jail. Total failure of Yogi government.
Living in UP I think this release hurts Yogi more than favouring him as his image of anti crime or no bullshit for crime is what actually got him reflected. Every community wants to feel safe and secure to grow.
Bottomline.. there is no justice in India 😮
A high caste women killed by high caste man. This was the only reason he got punishment at first place. Wonder if she was a dalit, tribal or a minority.
