Back to Back NCL Encore Cruise! - Disembarkation and Re-embarkation Process

Follow along as we transition from one cruise week into another on the NCL Encore. Same ship, two weeks, but two independently booked cruises.
Our first back to back, but hopefully not our last. Although we think it could have gone smoother and faster, it certainly could have gone a hell of a lot worse.
We were managed by a lead officer who stuck with the 15 of us for the duration of the change over and he was very friendly and funny even, trying to make the best of a dragged out situation. Something that could/should have taken 30 minutes took 2 hours but at least we had VIBE all to ourselves for about 2 hours as well. Best part of the day.

We did a B2B on the Pr1ma earlier this year and it was much smoother than your experience. That may be because we were docked at Reykjavik, Iceland and didn't need to deal so much with customs. Also, we booked the same cabin for both legs of our cruise, so the transition was completely painless.

We had the exact same cabin as well. I think they were understaffed and that's why it was so late and frustrating. They forced us to stay corralled for hours just to walk off the ship for 30 seconds and walk back on. So silly. Glad you had a much better experience!

Yes we did. We booked both cruises together when we initially booked. It was a great deal! Glad you had a great cruise as well!

It was beautiful, although the drop off/pick up area is a madhouse and poorly designed. Once inside it's great, but the loading area is a nightmare.
