i loved seeing you more in this kinda solo format. From my perspective it gives more depth to the overall scene with more 3rd person view, and cmon its always great to see your face smiling on the beach haha. keep it up!!!

That sail looked way bigger than a 6.3. Maybe it was because the board was small in comparison. That harness looks fantastic btw. I think you have a winner.

That harness looks like a retro 80’s add on we used to have for waist harnesses.

Aye, when you really get the speed on in any conditions you get going at about the speed of the wind and sometimes even faster. I've been out fully powered on 6m race sail and once up on the broad reach having to stand up fully cause there is no power for the sail at that speed 🙂 Always the way without insane wind speed 🙂 And yep seat harness is the way to go. Always was my preferred once tried 🙂 Way more leverage. Nasty if you get catapulted, but great for control. Used to see them all the time out on the water.

Enjoyed that video Ben. I am waiting for your harness video as I have been looking at that very harness. It's quite expensive so looking forward to see what you think. People who have riding up harness issues with sore backs are waiting....don't make us wait too long Ben...lol

Bué! That looked like a workout. Would have been nice to see some edits of those sweet jibes from the beach instead of goPro. Conditions looked a lot like when I went down to Martinhal for the first time a couple months back. Was gusting offshore up to 40 kts. I started on and got destroyed on 4.7m, then switched to 3.7m and still got yanked around. Don't know how you held on to 6.3m but you put on a good show.

Have a "secret harness" the looks like a similar design to yours. Collecting dust and spider webs in storage for over a decade. DaKine XT high back waist. Adjustable bar height positioning. Maybe better choice over trad. waist harness for long distance runs like the Defi? Looking forward to your "secret harness" video.

yeah, the harness makes a big difference. the one you used looks like it's better suited for waves. your new harness is much better for speed n slalom. you can literary sit and use more of your body weight and be able to face stronger winds.

From my testing i don't think the new secret harness is any faster. But it's sooo much nicer when you're moderately powered and pushing hard to fly the board for long runs.

Hi. Are the front footstraps on a speedboard more in the back than on a 125 -140L board? Are some foil optimized windsurfboard from the big Brands affected? I am a windsurfer since 1981. My personal Highlights in my Windsurfing „career“ are 1991 -2005 ca. The last 18 years i windsurfed ~all 4-5 years for 10 days. And last month i was at the René Egli- Center. I try some freerider and freerace boards from different brands. I would say the front straps are to much in the Front. It only felt right upwind

If you'd had more time to set the new sail up for speed, would you have added cam spacers and maybe a little more downhaul?

?… you mean the camera angle when I was sailing? Well I only had 5 runs!!! I didn’t think the wind would die. So the plan was to move the camera and do a lot of different angles.. but I didn’t have chance. Did you watch the video?
