It's a Komatsu D85A and was used to clear a few trees, stick rake the mess and put in the spill way and chase. Thankfully didn't need it to push us out of any bogs.

Using the elevator in reverse to empty was a big no no when I was taught unless it was real chunky material, as all U are doing is wearing out the chains when U don't have too. In free flowing material it usually runs out without the need of the elevator.

OH NO!!! Uncle, tell me it's not true? They used their Save the Whales, Namby Pamby sit down to take a Pee with 3 Points of Contact - Butt Probe on ya while you were working at "Area 51👽" didn't they?!!! They've FOCKERIZED ya 🤦‍♂️... We were having problems trying to adjust The auto greaser because the boss doesn't have a manual for it. And hydraulic oil is a good binding agent to help seal up holes in the clay 😂🤣🤣

in what gear you have to be to pickup load?

I was loading in 2nd gear. You only really load in 1st when you're trying to get ongrade doing final trim work on road formations or if it's really hard going and the material is wet.

Yes, it helps when unloading and on the G series it happens automatically when move the ejector forward.

It crumbles the material the finish grading equipment is easier for them to work with

Those flashing reds have no doubt been checked out, or you are used to Cat faulty electrics🤪

Just the usual gremlins. I think it was something to do with the auto greaser from memory. The boss said just ignore them.

you sit back in the seat to much... it'll break you. ride it like a horse. no seatlbelt.

Thanks for the advice, but the seat actually had a bolt missing and the air ride was faulty. I drove an older model B after this over rougher ground and it rode much better and was more comfortable. This was also a part time job, I Drive Trains for a Living and they don't Buck like a scraper or at least not as much 😉 Cheers.
