Solo queue isn't bad. I went from Silver to Diamond in one month through solo queue. I started playing Valorant in Episode 2 and was stuck in Iron during my first year. I reached Bronze and then Silver in my third year. Finally, I achieved Platinum and Diamond in Episodes 7 and 8. Enjoy the progress; there's no instant way to improve. It's better to lose when you're solo than to get carried in a party, so you can learn(my opinion). I love your content, mate! Big respect!!!!

As someone who's going through the climb to Gold myself, I get the pain. I was so close last act, 20 rr away from Gold, before the episode ended. After placements I was in Bronze 2, back to where I started in the episode. Placements are super brutal, but it helps to think of it as a foundation than an original assessment. If you keep it up, making sure you prioritize quality over quantity in your games, you will climb for sure. Best of luck to you!

As someone who solo queueing right now I feel you. When I asked people what my gameplay looks for them, they say I can be fit to be Bronze. But I love learning instead getting carried in party or having peer pressure I just focus on myself and what's more important is recording myself occasionally when I play. GL Gabe, you can do this! I love this the progress while learning the KAY/O stuff along the way.

I've been hardstuck bronze for over a year but your challenge pushed me to try that little bit harder that I needed, and I was able to finally hit the Silver goal I've wanted. wins AND losses provide you with experience, learning new utility combos, when and when not to push, more map knowledge, and it for sure betters your gun fights. keep it up and head into each match LIKE you are THE gold boss man, the rr will flow in like its nothing trust

Don't be discouraged by your placement! On episode resets, you usually get sent 5-6 ranks below what they think you are so you can climb again. Almost entirely independent of how you perform in your placements. In high ranks, people ff all the time at the start of an episode because everyone just wants to get their rank so they can earn RR again. edit: Also a good chunk of ranking up is literally just playing enough to get an accurate rank and you barely play man xD

Keep it up, don’t let this set back have an affect. You will get back to bronze 2 in no time. One thing I would like to say, try to completely stop before shooting, I might be cause you’re nervous, but you run and shoot at the same time. I’m not the best at it, but one thing that helped me was the slow walking, it controlled my aim and let me shoot straight. Instead of going everywhere on the enemy. Keep it up!

Good stuff man! I think its definitely accurate to say you play like a silver--your crosshair placement and gun control is on point. Plus, it's important to keep in mind that the game almost always places you lower than you actually are. I also noticed you have an improvement mindset, as in, analyzing what you did wrong in a given scenario. That's exactly what you need to climb ranks. You'll get gold in no time!

This series reminded me back when I was iron 3 when I first tried this game and started playing and having fun grinding through the ranks (only 777 hours of playing and I got to diamond 2, u got this man)

Gabe, you play so much better with Vandal than any other weapon. As soon as you get your hands on a spectre, your bad habits come back. I would heavily recommend you switch from spectre to Bulldog. The bulldog is really strong right now, and you can use it exactly how you use a vandal to destroy eco rounds. It does less damags, but irs functionally very similar To clarify, i genuinely think you will have more success with Bulldog + Half Shield than you will with Spectre + Full Shield

If you right click with the knife on the abyss breakable doors, you can destroy them instantly, which saves ammo and makes a bit less noise.

You should try Voltaic Kovaaks routines to sharpen your mechanical skill. You should also grind on deathmatch to get use to gun fights as it seems that you panic when you get in one, resulting in you missing shots that you should've made.

As a silver 2 peak, i have some ways you could improve, if you don't start warming up with the bots in the open range and mess around there, also, try to learn where people's head levels are, Even though I don't get headshots 50% of the time if you spray at the chest, its only 4 shots to kill with vandal and 1 if headshotted, so headshots are the way to go. And never dry peak things, (Not using utility to help swing things), Like kayo, has flashes, flash, swing, headshot.

Hey man I got to silver recently all I did to get to silver was focus on aim and mechanics that’s it, my bronze 2 friend was arguably smarter than me in game sense according to my gold friend however the aim made up for it. Frankly here’s what I recommend to get to silver you just need to work on aim crosshair placement and use your abilities more, this translates to death matches 5-10 a day with good crosshair placement watch videos for that, and aim train using third party software like aim labs and play 3 games a day and rewatch your games if your really serious

Hey Gabe! Just to chime in and give my unsolicited opinion lol, I think you are definitely playing above your rank. Your headshots specifically are at least silver level (nowhere near Bronze or Iron IMO). I’m in Plat 3 and usually top frag, I sometimes feel the same as you. My aim and gamesense are likely Diamond at least. It really is a game of luck as far as ranking when you mainly solo queue.

This act has started horrible for me. Placed bronze 2 and ive got about a 30% win rate and im low bronze 1… i was silver last act… hope the start goes better for you. P.S. I have been mid-top fragging most of my games which is the worst part, most of the losses are out of my control. Bronze 1 is terrible cause it’s mixed with trolls, smurfs, and people who started playing the game a week ago. you'll still get bronze players in your games even though you're in iron until the matchmaking settles. everyone gets knocked down a couple ranks on these ranked resets so it takes everyone a while to get back to where they were.
