Not a bad vocal by Randy, in place of Chad Allan. Surprised he didn't drag out one of his old Gretsch's for this.

Not bad at all, now have a listen to the version by the English band "Shanghai" with fantastic vocals by Cliff Bennett and great guitar by the late Mick Green of the original Pirates.

Johnny Kidd wrote it. First record by Kidd and the Pirates 1960. You should have a listen. It is amazing.

This is NOT an original Bachman-Turner song. It is a cover. Of course they don't say that, not even music "historian" Paul Shaffer.

Gee, thanks for the news flash! They don't say it because anyone who knows anything about the history of rock 'n' roll already is well aware of this fact. This doubtless includes everyone in the audience. But thanks for playing.

An outstanding performance by good ole' Bachman ~Turner. I have to say watching Paul Shaffer on the keyboard, you would think he's the main attraction. I know the man is an extremely talented musician, but should remain in the background with the rest of the band. Sorry to say I never cared for the man due to his arrogance!!!

In my humble opinion, I think you chaps have Paul Shaffer totally wrong. I have watched him many times and he performs with a lot of exuberance every time which I feel is due to his love of music, not because he has any desire to take over the spotlight. Watch some old David Letterman shows where he was the band leader, he really was a good natured fellow-not arrogant at all.

@@4747robo I have to agree with you. Paul just effing loves what he's doing. And it shows. I suspect they invited him to be up front. No harm. No foul. (The world's most famous beatnik. Whatever....) Keep on keepin' on.
