Lyrics:
Hey mum! Why didn't you tell me?
Why didn't you teach me a thing or two?
Did you just let me go out, into the world?
You never thought to share what you knew.
So I walked under a bus, I got hit by a train.
Keep falling in love, which is kinda the same.
I've sunk out at sea, crashed my car, gone insane.
And it felt so good, I want to do it again.
Hey mum! Why didn't you want me?
'Cause I found boys were something I should have known.
They're like chocolate cake, like cigarettes.
I know they're bad for me, but I just can't leave them alone.
And I walked under a bus, I got hit by a train.
And it felt so good, I want to do it again.
I want to do it again, I want to do it again, hey hey!
Ooh, think I'm so good? Hey!
Hey mum! Since we're talking, what was it like when you were young?
Has the world changed, or is it still the same?
A man can kill, and still be the sweetest fun!
And I walked under a bus, I got hit by a train,
And it felt so good, I want to do it again.

Music is music. Me I like 80s, 90s, rap, metal, pop, anything that I find nice I just listen to them. If I don't quite like it I don't listen. Don't over-complicate things. Just enjoy and live your life.

2021... I loved this song back then, and in 2004 I got close with a Filipina girl when I lived in Abu Dhabi, her name was Alfie Halibas... I was quite into her, but she didn't feel the same... ANYWAY... she reminded me of this song. And today that memory came back so I came to KZread to have a listen.
I wish I could go back in the 90s and stay there for awhile.i miss all the happiness and special people I've been with

Makes me want to go back to those late summer nights hanging out with friends in the backyard and dancing like there is not tomorrow. I miss this music era.❤
So glad experienced life in the 90s. Transitioning from HS, to College, to working life. These songs were like time machine for me. Gives me back the feels, the struggles and the joy during that time.

I was a child back then and I never really understood this song, I liked how it sounded, and its cool because I grew up watching MTV... But now I am turning 37 and just stumbled upon this by KZread's algorithm... Wow, it hits me, after all these years of living the adult life... Oh my goodness, understanding fully the meaning of it all as an adult hits hard but the melody and the music gives me some comfort though, of nostalgia and childhood memories. Wow.
It sounds so good I wanna play this again
One of my favorite song! It’s so hard being an only child, coming from a broken family and being alone since my mom passed away 15 years ago. These kind of songs brings back all the memories of all the light and happy times of my teenage life while I was still with my mom. I’m really missin’ you Ma! I’m still hurting but I gotta get up and fight coz I have my 2 angels here I should look after too ❤️
Never understood it as a teen in the 90s, totally get it now in my late 30s 😩

One of my earliest and most favourite pop songs from the 1990s. So happy to finally see it officially uploaded to KZread.
Love her funky voice. It is so warm, refreshing and rare on such genre! The video solidifies this art... like some beautiful cherry on a cake.... Truly a legendary song back when time was simpler

Classic ballads. Definitely reminds me of the late 90s or even the early 90s. Such a great song. full of emotion and memories. I was in year 10 or grade 10 when this song was released. I thought it was released in 1996. It was actually 1998.
