my friend and i have been watching these videos like all day, because we are starting a babysitting “job”

I sometimes babysit for that family but we live in a really small town and we like all know each other! It makes it less complicated cause I know a lot of the questions to ask already and know the employer pretty well, even worked for them before in other jobs.

I’m kind of suspicious about a babysitting job some person asked me, because they were adults, and I’m currently almost 12, but they didn’t add add any period at the end of a sentence, and they even spelled ‘have’ as ‘hav’. I asked if they have been background checked, and they replied that they haven’t been yet, and they wrote: “Don’t worry you’re safe.” That kinda raises my suspicions…should I be worried? My mom is making me watching this even tho I know how to do all of this but I’m only watching my siblings who never listen to me or do what I say or appreciate what I do for them. I buy them things clean for them make sure they have ate and everything and I don’t get paid at all and my mom has money to do so but she just didn’t instead my siblings like to tattle and make up lies to tell my mom and she believes them and when I try to tell her the truth she calls it back talking and my siblings are 11 and 13 year olds and I’m 14 so I don’t even know why I have to show them how to make them a bowl of oatmeal. 14 is a good age if you feel confident and ready to take on the responsibility. Take a class like Safe Sitter (find one here: safesitter.org/find-a-class/) to make sure you're ready. It will really help!

hey, so I'm pretty sure if your 9 it isn't ideal because waiting for you to be the Legal age to sit at home alone is also required. for instance here in Australia, you need to be 10 years old to sit at home alone and 13 to take of others at home alone so you need to pretty much be 13 to babysit. Check the legal requirements in your country.

It sounds like you might be ready to babysit! Take a class like Safe Sitter to learn how to handle a variety of things that may come up when you're babysitting. It will really give you the confidence you need to start babysitting and your parents will also know you're ready.

In the US, the minimum wage is different in every state and sometimes even within cities within that state. It's super confusing!

If you are babysitting a child who has an allergy that could be life threatening, ask the employer if the child has an EpiPen (or similar), where it is located, and if the child knows how to use it.

Every time I go with you you talk to the other aunt you ignore me I'm their aunt you should talk to me I think u need to go to the Dr and get ur brain checked then all of your friends talk to the other You might need the Dr ❤❤
