You can always hang the mobile from the ceiling with a small white hook and some clear fishing wire! That would also keep it further from baby's reach and center the weight in the middle of the mobile to keep it from toppling to one side or the other. I love how simple the nursery is - never been a huge fan of theme-heavy rooms that have to be redone all the time to keep up with the baby!

A tip someone gave me about our mobile (bc I had the same worries), was to hang it over the changing table :) works great because she looks at it while getting changed and doesn't try to roll over haha

I commented awhile back on maybe your first pregnancy video about how my baby was due around my anniversary and he’s here!! Came an hour before my husband and I’s one year anniversary lol. 2 weeks old today 🩵 praying for patience and joy in this final stretch for you! My baby came at 41.1 weeks but exactly when he needed to. God’s plan is perfect!

For the mobile, instead of placing it on top, place it right underneath that top bar that it’s on and that should make it more sturdy since there’s more bars for it to grip to. The parents that I work for (I’m an nanny) did the same thing and when I did that it was so solid.

I look up to her a lot since I am on my own fertility-journey and have a longing for healing naturally.

You can put the mobile over the changing station instead because you don't want the baby engaging with a toy in their sleep space but it does help to keep them distracted when you're doing diaper changes ❤

one of the things I used the most as a new mom was a changing pad! my mom made me one. also, I wanted to share some very good info about a babies cry. If you look up “Oprah & crying baby language” you’ll find a neat go-to chart on the suyllabkes a baby makes with their cry tocommunicate their needs. I am a huge attachment advocate and so if a mama knows what to listen for she is meeting the correct need, this strengthening her bond and attachment. Also, the crying baby hold is so helpful for when they are inconsolable and you’ve met all their needs. The hold puts light pressure on their belly and can help with gas. Also, the first thing I learned in the hospital with my daughter was to trust my gut. My daughter was so tired all the time and I was worried she wasn’t getting enough milk. the nurses said “oh she is only getting colostrum she doesn’t need that much” but my gut was telling me she wasn’t even getting colostrum or anything she needed. sure enough she had low blood sugar from not getting enough food and had to go to the NICU for a few days. They gave her nutrition through her wrist veins which was so hard to see but what she needed. Flash forward 5 years. I saw a story about a baby who died from dehydration because the baby wasn’t getting enough milk. the nurses kept saying oh the baby’s okay and dismissed the moms concerns. This was a capable every day couple who had just become new parents and they innately trusted the nurses dismissal because most people are taught nurses know everything. Having my daughter was my first experience with following my gut even if it was different than what the nurses were telling me. it saved her life! I don’t tell you this to bring about fear, just to let you know they’ll try to get you to do what they say is best but you and Kyle are the parents. of course take their advice as apart of the equation but if your gut is telling you something else, listen to your gut and pray about what God is telling you. Also, if breastfeeding doesn’t go well I have a homemade goats milk formula recipe I have given to other mamas who haven’t been able to produce enough milk. I used it with both my babies. They are so healthy and strong and so are the babies of some of my friends who struggled. We also chose to not vac*inate and it’s been the best decision I have ever made. My children have a strong immune system and we eat whole foods and build it up from the inside out. from one mama to another, some little tid bits I have learned so hopefully other moms don’t have to experience what I walked through already. ♥️ so many blessings to you and Kyle on this new chapter!

Hi there. First time commenting but have watched you for awhile now. I just had my third baby June 2nd and first boy so yay. He’s been an absolute blessing to us and his two big sisters just adore him. Anyways just wanted to say congratulations and wish you and your husband all the best. Can’t wait to see your son. Also I never washed any of my children’s clothing from the very beginning even though they say to. I know you mentioned about the washing. I feel the same it’s like wonder if you need to return it because let’s face it they grow so fast they may not get to wear something you or someone else may have purchased? My children have been just fine too as far as wearing brand new clothes not washed first.
