I was completely blown away by this! My expectations were exceeded after watching the teasers! So creative, so original, so captivating, just so good! The piano sheet music (maze) has the title “sheesh” and of course “BM” central in the maze. The two cochlea (spiral ear canals) on the walls behind rapping Ahyeon and Ruka are cool, and also these two “rev” the two dirt bikes on the side walls during Asa’s amazing rap! Ahyeon saying she’s not just one of the announced 5 members (YG’s 1st announced members before YG’s flip), not just one of the current 7 members, but that she is 10 out of 10 (score/flex)! “Boom Boom Pow”…Black Eyed Peas perchance? “Rum pum pum pum” à la f(x) but making your ears feel good instead of, or in addition to, piercing your heart or hurting your head? They ARE on a “roll” (as they sing in the outro)…a Rolls-Royce Ghost car that is, worth over $350,000! Someone who actually listened to what I said. Never said the ladies ain't talent, never said they could be blackpink, never said the song wasn't good. All I want is that BM EXTRA SAUCE to make it their own. I know YG has its was.. We all get that, but I need that extra touch. Simple. But I get it, the moment you say something that not positive that all every focuses on.

I 100% agree with everything you said Musa. I feel the girls have so much potential and they should take the risk and create new style and sounds for them and not just apply the same formula that worked with BP before because they're gonna end upp being just BP 2.0 if they keep making the songs with the same formula, the same sounds, etc. I really like this song in its majority but i couldn't help but notice that it does sound just like a BP song. And i know it is the "YG sound" but in the last years, the face of YG has been BP so, one automatically connects that sound with BP because that's the reference, so i understand when you say that it is not fair for BM and i agree. I really hope they start creating a different approach from now on and not just play it safe with the formula they know already works, because, i repeat, i know that's the "YG sound" but a company can still mantain its DNA and have different approach on things. It is one thing to maintain your essence and another different thing to just keep doing the same.

Musa, thanks for honest opinion as always! it’s a pleasure to watch your reactions. I personally think that BM have all factors to become 5th gen brightest stars (vocals, rap, dance, stage presence) but after such long period of waiting for them to debut, I feel like their title song could be better than Sheesh… there are parts in this song that I like (mostly pre-chorus, Rora’s voice is fire) but in general… nothing’s new, this song is so filled and empty at the same time. I just don’t feel satisfied on 100% cause we all know that BM could do better. My fav song from the album is definitely Like That because it just suits Baemon better and doesn’t sound hackneyed. Really hope that YG won’t lock these amazing talented girls in the basement and release another album with more songs in this year so that girls could get what they deserve. And of course I don’t want them to be “second BP”, both groups should follow their own unique path. All love ❤️

It's usually a 2 rappers but now they're making 3. - 2nd New things, this is the first YG Girl group that is more than 4 Girls, bigger than the usual formula. They're 7 members ❤ I'm satisfied for this first album as a 7 members, the music introduced them as they're really from YG, maybe There will be a new hit in next album. the outro of the song is a YG trademark. BP wasn't the first one who did that. All YG artists' title track have the same formula and had been doing like that even Kpop became global. Listen to 2NE1's I Am The Best. iKON's BLING BLING. Bigbang's BANG BANG BANG. These groups have different producers. It was iKON who solidified the formula and BP made it famous.

In my opinion, as a YG stan, the ending is so refreshing tho 😂 I don't want YG to change their formula. If it means for everyone that YG is forming a 3.0 2ne1 or 2.0 BP, then go! I still love the music tho.

I hope one day people will understand that YG has his own unique signature and they strive to preserve it. They have no intention of copy his own groups they want to mantain his distinct style. I agree with you and not at the same time. 🤣 But it takes time just like BP before almost 2years or more they are compared to 2ne1 2.0 but slowly but surely they managed to have their own signature, and the way I see it yes it's still the same formula and song characteristics but it's slowly going deferent for new kpop fan yes you highly going to have a BP in mind cuz that's what you started of but this one remind me more of BigBang specially when the perform live! It's okay to compare BP have this when they are new, and being a fan of YG artist from the beginning I think YG is not going to chance there style cuz that is the trademark of the MVs of YG. But I'm sure slowly but surely they would find there music identity just like BP. I don't want YG doing the trend of Kpop right now they are the only company that is deferent.

I agree, nooe can say those girls don't have talent. But this will either go two ways. Either Babymonster will always be the little BP or YG will make even less promotions for BP and Babymonster will replace them by force of YG. At some point they have to rethink their soundproduction, especially with such strong vocal & rapline like this.

I kinda understand the fact of being afraid of change, but if BM continue like this, as you said, they will forever be in Blackpink shadow. I really like the girls and of course I will support them but in the same time I know they have the potential to really create something new. Personnaly I liked Sheesh a lot (the whole mini-album also) but it was too predictable and of course the formula works here. I agree with you. The bside is giving another flavor, that's why other prefer the bside more than the title track. In Bside, it's like YG letting the members do their things and music that's not can be usually head in other YGA. Like in Treasure, bside is their ground to release their own compose song and musics.
