Chiquita is the youngest at 15 and Rapper Ruka is the oldest at 22 also they have 2 from Thailand, 2 from Japan, both rappers and 3 from Korea including a 3rd Rapper/Singer in Ahyeon who raps and sings in Forever in pink dress

The original debut was actually in November 2023 with Batter Up and Stuck in the middle with 6 girls. One of the girls was sick. Also their Christmas without you cover worth a watch.

Speaking of training, 3 of them trained for 6 years before debuting. The others trained for 3-5 years.

Would suggest you check out their predebut "last evaluation" series as trainees. You'll be amazed . They were being evaluated to decide who would debut into this girl group now known as babymonster😊

Despite being 15-21 years old right now, they trained for an average of 3.5/4 years (many started around 10 years old). And they actually are only a couple months old, rather than years but they dont act or sound like rookies. YG makes a point to TRAIN its artist like they’re not debuting someone unless they are full prepared. Older YG artists really helped them with their stage presence (such as Jennie during their Last Evaluation show). Charlie Puth actually gifted them this song after hearing Ahyeon’s cover of Dangerously! Despite being released in 2016, it actually won an award in SoKorea last year because it was so viral. You should definitely check out their solo covers from Last Evaluation, and if you want to see clips from their years of training you should check out the Dream MV, which was their pre-debut song released after the conclusion of their show the Last Evaluation which was only last year. They released Batter Up last fall, and Stuck in the Middle in February, however Ahyeon had to sit out due to health problems so they technically consider the release of their minialbum and Sheesh their offical debut (in Forever the hotel room number is 401 and they debuted on April 1st). So they are literally baby monsters (and the little princesses of YG, and YG himself is like a caring proud grandfather to them rather than the strict parent he was to his other artists. The beginning sounds very similar to B2Ks Bump, Bump, Bump to me. This is for sure my favorite song by them at the moment. And the “in my arms” part reminds me Señorita by Justin Timberlake, not the same but similar.
