7 Things that are subtly implied from this announcement: 1. He didn't lie when he said that BABYMONSTER is never a 7-member group.But BABYMONS7ER is tho. 2. YG almost confirm that Ahyeon is supposed to be the leader of BABYMONSTER. I thought it would be Ruka. 3. YG low key hinted that Ruka is the visual-center of BABYMONSTER when he explained why she's part of the group. 4. Language lesson is a crucial part of the training system since Pharita was chosen over Rora and Asa for her fluency in English. 5. YG didn't want to waste her effort of giving Rora her name since he planned to make her standout with the next YG girl group to debut (or Black Label girl group). 6. Asa is too much of an all-rounder that it made YG come up with the idea of using her as a benchmark for his Japan girl group project. 7. Rora and Asa are roommates for a reason.

To be honest, this was planned a long time ago since the recording was done before at least Feb 2023. Ahyeon, Ruka, Chiquita, and Asa ages are all incorrect and I don't think that they would print the wrong ages if this was done after Feb which is when Chiquita turned 14. Ahyeon is 16, Ruka is 21, and Asa is 17 but all of the cards showed their age from last year and even if the cards were wrong the graphic that they used could have been corrected to the right age.

We have already gathered massive groups and funds thet we have for BP and putting 40 percent of the funds toward BM. Only if 7 debut since it seven we promised to allocate the funds towards their debut and all activities. We are part BP, but half our college colleague and business professionals will be handling the new BM fan bases. Nah, I bet YG's plan really was exactly what he said it was. If the entire 7 didn't do as well as they did in the last 2 whole group evaluations and the fans weren't so demanding of all 7, it would have went down exactly as he said it would have.

That's just as likely as them not realizing the timing of the release and forgetting to put up the correct age ahead of time. It would be an oversight either way, that doesn't prove he's lying.

@@arqHHM The picture clearly states the ages of Ruka, Chiquita, and Ahyeon before February(21,13,15yo) , because after February, Chiquita Ahyeon, Ruka are 14,16,21 years old. That's why I believe the video was taken before Chiquita's 14th birthday, which means it was probably shot in January/early in February

@@ecka1647 you're not understanding me, it is equally likely they just printed out old cards for them. It would be just as much as an oversight as them(assuming what you say is true) not realizing that it would be for a future video and not adjusting their ages appropriately. After all, they clearly knew they would be revealing this on May 12th, and thus what their correct ages should be. So no, that does not prove that he was lying. It just proves that someone messed up either way and no one caught it, or that they just wanted to use the ages that the girls started the last evaluations at.

I kinda surprise they pulled out ASA and Rora in the beginning. Where they are the perfect age for the group. Rukas is 21 her age gap compare to the rest she is older. I mean look at Blackpink their age gap is not that much of a difference. Baby monster ASA age fits in where they are all high schoolers and Ruka is just almost finishing college age. Kinda weird to have her age in this group. Being the first choice before ASA or Rora. But she is talented I'm glad seven is debuting. But my issue was they picked Ruka instead of ASA or Rora I can understand she is charismatic, her English rap still needs work for age and she isu j mature than others Ofcourse she would be more. charismatic. The way you say he essentially gave up on making more money for the company, having Rora and Asa in two more groups, when people are attach emocionaly to them, that would give more money, because those two groups would already have the buzz having two popular ex-BM members, but even that people do this type of comments, some fans are not really satisfed with anything, you can hate him but im not

From past experience I don't trust anything YG said in this video. It was already decided that BM would be a 7 member group. The last 4 months was just clever marketing tactics to get people invested in the 7 members and YG playing us with his "I only wanted a 5 member group but 98% of YG fans/family wanted all 7 so I listened to the YG family". The original YG Family were a real family until YG threw 2NE1 under the bus and eventually disbanded them in order to in his words "debut Blackpink as a prettier version of 2NE1". YG fell in love with a minor who is now his wife and mother of his two children. She was 16 at the time and he was 30. YG even sabotaged the group she was in SWI.T and ensured they failed and disbanded just so he could have her. He personally has been involved in many criminal activities and scandals ranging from illegal gambling, prostitution, coercion, blackmail, drug supplying, threats of physical violence and ruining peoples careers by ensuring they are blacklisted from the entertainment industry.
