Well, Electric Callboy does EDM + Metal. Babymetal does J-Pop + Metal. So together, they're doing EDM + J-Pop + Metal. It's not that complicated.

@@elbruces Nah, the EC "Metal" is rather Metalcore + Comedy Rock. And the rapped part by the girls isn't exactly J-Pop. Overall it's EDM + Metalcore + Comedy Rock + J-Pop + J-Rap + Metal.

Never really thought this collab was out of place. Electric Callboy effectively does Metal Electronic Dance music. Babymetal has done many different genres with metal but they’re always dancing no matter how heavy or light the music is. Babymetal has also always shown to me metal music, no matter how heavy, can be danced too. So to me both bands have dance elements as a huge part of their identity.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 🤣. The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. EC boys can join BM concerts and BM girls can show up in EC's worldwide 😍 Is it just a coincidence that the two bands are to perform on the same days in the same places in several European festivals in June ? ★ Just FYI, BABYMETAL also performed "Brand New Day" with Scott and Tim from POLYPHIA in the festival. That was beautiful and soothing.

It kinda blows my mind how many people say they were skeptical about the collab. Babymetal has a lot of pop roots and EC definitely have a lot of the Euro-pop, they both blend metal with that as their bread and butter. To me, this collab is as natural as it comes.

Avery successful Collaboration that in my opinion really shows wvat Su is hoping for. She thinks that the current Babymetal knows how it works and why it works. So she wants to offer a service. They rent their voices and abilities ro other groups. They have enough special abilities thst other groups don't matvh. You might find some weeak points but also things that work great.
