Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 Glad to see you're back with more BM songs and enjoying this new BM sound not so many people are getting what is all about, and complaining about not being so heavy and whatnot, luckily the last single and some new songs from the album already release will fill that need. For me L&D is another great pop rock ballad with beautiful SuMetal vocals piercing into our hearts. Love the J-pop sound from 2000 and the nostalgic vibes mixed with the edm sound. Here's some info about this song: _One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is "LIGHT AND DARKNESS" and this 4th pre-release digital single “Light and Darkness” centers around this theme. Because light exists, darkness also exists._ _And because darkness is present, there is also a world that shines._ _During the night when light and darkness intersect, what we seek after poisoned with darkness awaits a world filled with strong love. As the door opens, is it hope or despair that awaits us? The song expresses the duality in everything and the way things are perceived and interpreted differ depending on each person’s point of view._ This was a world premiere at Makuhari Messe 2023 setlist, along with "THE LEGEND". During latest concerts at PIA Arena MM Yokohama (April 1st - Fox Day and 2nd) they announced a new member, finally MomoMetal is official, and she's no longer an avenger, we're all happy for her.🍑❤️ This month they started the Sabaton's Europe Tour as a special guests, the UK leg is done, Paris was awesome and now is Germany turn, everyone is having a blast with these concerts and the new songs, so far this one, L&D, wasn't performed yet, hope you can get the chance to see them live in one of their World Tour concerts this year. Love this factoid!

Nice reaction. This is a song that is a long way towards the pop end of the BABYMETAL sliding scale ... and none of their songs have been used in any anime, so you don't even need to contemplate that when you react to the other songs from this new album (some will surprise you I'm sure). Tiny Tina's Wonderland (I understand it is some sort of game) does use 'Gimme Chocolate'.

Just finished the game ironically enough! Great use of the song too, so fitting for the game!

Japanese-produced animation uses Japanese songs, so to people outside Japan, jpop and jrock would be anime songs😅 BM does not make any TV appearances, commercial appearances or sing the theme songs of dramas, animations or films, in order not to disrupt its worldview. They also do not do any sns. From Japan🦊

How can every song Babymetal ever does, mostly pop, mostly metal, fast paced, slow paced, fun, dance, serious, etc.. be anime? I swear they could stand there and make farting noises with their mouths and people would claim it would make a good anime song. Everything can't sound like anime! Just because it's Japanese does not mean its anime.

Suzuka Nakamoto the lead singer is 25 yrs old now. She is also writing songs and a Model. They opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, and Korn, concerts

Amuse would never license to an Anime. It would be a step down.

"Gimme Chocolate" was used for the trailer and end credits in the game "Tiny Tina's Wonderlands". Another older song (Megitune or IDZ maybe?) may have been used as well. I cant remember. Su-metal's previous Idol group, Karen Girls was formed specufically to sing songs for the anime "Zettai Karen Girls", byt that was long, long ago. 😉

Amuse very rarely licenses Babymetal's music for tv, film, or videogames. There have been a handful of instances, but it's very rare. Kobametal is very protective of Babymetal's brand and identity as artists and is very careful about who and what is allowed to be associated with Babymetal.

When I first heard this song, I found myself holding my breath, as Su went higher and higher with her singing, waiting for the beat to drop. This album is pretty much everything I was hoping for after hearing their song From Dusk Till Dawn back in the day, metal, a touch of trance/dubstep/edm, dark ethereal vibes all in one. My faves so far are Metalizm, Believing and Time Wave.🤘🦊🤘😁😁😁

BabyMetal’s producer & creator… Key Kobayashi has worked hard to distance BabyMetal from Anime. Even for years, people have stated that their music reminds them of Anime and would love to see BabyMetal’s songs in Anime. There might be the random trailer or commercial that uses an excerpt of a BabyMetal song. But licensing a BabyMetal song for an Anime, I doubt Koba would ever agree to that. Koba is a hardcore metal head and takes BabyMetal seriously as the Metal genre that he created with Su, Moa & Yui. I don’t think that will ever change.

Stop the "sounds like anime" nonsense. Not every combination of pop, metal and Japanese is anime. Such an ignorant and simplistic state of mind.

Love to hear your take on this. I grew up in Asia so watched anime growing up. Worked for one of the largest Japanese entertainment companies, creating games, anime, and manga, and lived in Japan partly when doing so. Curious what I said sound so simplistic.

You’re getting flak from mentioning the forbidden word “anime” but I think this song would be great for an anime. Carry on, please… 👍
