They are, indeed, getting older. And maybe sooner than you think. Su is, of course, still months away from her birthday, but Yui will be 19 on June 20th, and Moa will be 19 on July 4th. :)

⚡ 💀 💕 / ☀ The US tour was in May, and the European tour wrapped up with the UK Download Festival on June 9th. The only other announced dates for this year are four shows in Japan in the last half of October. I had to fly from Southern California to Austin, Texas to see them this year. Totally worth it though. I got the front barrier on the right side and got to throw Moa a lot of heart signs. : )

Maybe Distortion is a song about the current state of affairs in Babymetal and the death of their band-member. "Is this a bad dream?"

Lou Kraft she isn't performing due to taking ill, she still was part of the album making process but due to her health being bad (or mourning the death of the guitarist who died) she had to pull out till she recovered. It's not the change in the band's lore that is making yui miss shows it's her personal life that's the reason, I'm sure she's as flexible as moa and su about the change in the band she's just not well enough to perform.

You are sooo missing out for not going to a BABYMETAL concert. Go to one the next time they are in your general area! (USA?) Trust me. :)

the band formally known as babymetal no longer exists. One member gone, another relegated to background dancer and lack of emphasis of the awesome kami's is proof of that. No more " We are " or " See you " . Sad, I really liked Babymetal.

David Witmer what you talkin about willis? Yui is still part of baby metal and moa has not been "relegated", she has always been a cheerleader style backup dancer/singer so just because she is leading the dancers more than singing does not mean she is any less of a member as su. Yui was suffering from an illness of some kind which is why she missed the remaining few shows of last year and the start of this year's tour, they don't want to rush her so they're compensating for her absence with 2 spare dancers and adding to the lore to justify the dancers inclusions. Yui's vocals are still in the tracks of the new album she's just not performing till she's ready and to make it fair on her moa will miss the rest of the tour so yui can feel more included when she comes back.

As for the kami band they've always been a background feature of baby metal as "the guardians" of the band so the fact they're not as emphasised this year isn't as much of a big deal as your making it, they're steping out the spot light to let babymetal have their rightful spotlight as the main attraction. I dunno if the extra dancers are a permanent thing or temporary but either way it's about time the band evolved a little cause the same gimmick can run dry if used too much.
