Everybody's talking G'Kar, but let's also give credit to Londo and his actor Peter Jurasik. He got everything he asked for, he got his empire back, his "glorious republic." And now he has a taste of the old days... it's like ash in his mouth. It's not glorious, it's cruel, barbaric and frankly evil. There's no joy in this "victory" for Londo, just shame and rage. Brilliant writing.

One of the best scenes in television history. I have viewed this scene dozens of times over a period of 20 years, and its impact is not lessened. Andreas Katsulas has gone beyond the rim, but will never be forgotten.

Londo at his worst, G'Kar at his best. Phenomenal performances from both actors.

In all of science fiction, you'll have trouble finding a more complex frenemy situation than Londo and G'Kar. They're like characters from a Greek tragedy.

4:11 Londo trying to speak but his conscience making him choke is just peak acting. He know he is wrong. This whole situation is just one random Centauri's wish gone way too far and way too long he's too deep in it he can't get out so he rides it over but he also still knows he is wrong

Amazing how the upscaling really makes the most of the prosthetics. G’kar looks incredible.

Londo is nailing it, so is G'kar. Exactly talking like a politican would. Absolutely beautiful acting there by both of them.

I'm used to my B5 in original DVD quality - You have done fantastic job upscaling this. Londo, G'kar and the other aliens look far better than I would have expected in HD - A testament to the makeup/sfx department.

Wow, the detail! G’Kar looks incredible!

One of the best moments of one of the best scifi series...

Alwys loved this scene, but wow, the upcaling is brilliant, the sharpness of Molari's face and the eyes is incredible.

When G'Kar finally tempered his anger and focused it into his soul, the sage like soul. Many people in real life are like this, to steal a rap lyric "under the fubu is a guru", great men dealing with the weight of consequence. I love the passive aggressiveness, but finally, without choice he uses his best wepaon, his words! RIP Andreas

Prior to Babylon 5 I never paid that much attention to Andreas Katsulas. As a fan of Babylon 5 I can think of no one else who could deliver that speech better than Andreas Katsulas. In my opinion the actors significantly lifted the quality of the show well beyond expectations.

His acting along with the writing for his series long character's arc. G'kar brilliantly morphing from a pretty unsympathetic militant antagonist to the very spiritual heart of the show. Other TV writers should watch B5 and take lots of notes on how its done.

Scifi is often an outlet for reality in some way, and the message here is equally applied in the real world we live in today.

That look on Sheridan's face just before G'Kar speaks, Londo was on the verge of getting the Centauri tossed out an airlock. Yelling like that at Governor Starkiller was beyond stupid.

One of the best depictions in sci fi of courage and unbroken spirit in the face of catastrophe and utter defeat.

Mira Furlan would be weeping today with what is happening.

Darling first of all unlike Zelensky, Kunis and other Harper Valley hypocrites I have never- ever- identified as Russian. Not one day in my life. What scares me ( and confuses me to no end ) is that we, as fans, demand complicated characters and challenging situations from JMS, Misty Lackey, Filoni- but at the same time we're more than ready and willing to swallow the Blake Association's " Rebs are the evil incarnate, the Loyalists are purer than the driven snow " nonsense. If say JMS had written something this one sided and boring would any of us even watch it?

Bandera was a Ukrainian Pinochet and Pinochet was a Chilean Bandera. It's not what they did- it's how they did it. When nobody can tell the difference between you ( who claim to be and actually are the victim/survivor of the Bolshevik crap, the Holocaust, the Holodomor, etc ) and the people who were terrorizing you and your loved ones- we have a serious problem. And that's exactly what happened to Londo and G'Kar. Remember that " wonderful " false confession that G'Kar made Londo's nephew sign? All that drivel how his colony was ASKING for Narn protection. " We " as survivors have the responsibility of never turning into " them ". End of story. And I'm sure that my favorite Loyalist will agree with me just this once.

There is no current show that can outdo the mastery of scenes like this one on B5

One of best speeches in television science fiction, but more importantly it can be applied to the real today's world 🌍.

That looks so good. Crisp, clear, beautiful.

This 4k really made the symbolism of clothing apparent. Once bright Centauri purple jacket being shrouded by dark cape, showing how Centauri are succumbing to the Shadow influence.

Still to this day one of the best scenes written and acted. The reboot can’t have this scene. The reason: who can act it out better than this.

Truth is the truth. This is one of my favorite scenes.

I am a life long Star Trek fan. I grew up on TOS but DS9 is my favorite. DS9 was heavily inspired by Babylon 5. The exceptional writing and acting on B5, make it one of the best SciFi series ever! It is scenes like this one that made G'Kar my favorite character from B5!

Spoiler alert : It did not take a thousand years.

Wow....in 4k, it looks fantastic.

@@lacroix1159 Russians are no Centauri in terms of armed forces' condition which is in shambles due to corruption levels and this is very fortunate. Ukraine is innocent and this Putin's war is unprovoked and criminal.

Sheridan's fathers advice: 'Don't be the one to start a fight but be the one to finish' applies to the Narn, they pushed the Centauri since the occupation and in the pilot they were referenced as having conquered other planets. They openly attacked the Centauri in the first episode and G'kar made a dumb demand of a couple in the episode 'Believers' about helping their son. Without the Shadows, the Centauri were winning on every front, the Shadows only intervened at Quadrant 14 and at Gorash. While it's easy to feel pity for the Narn you have to remember at their height they were the worst and though G'kar changed, his people really hadn't learned a damned thing.

I am so happy for you and JMS that for you guys the conflict started only in 2022 and it's about as complicated as the first STAR WARS movie. But when we in the Fantasy/SF world demand that our fellow fans feel compassion and empathy for say Magneto or Guy of Gizborne or Darth Vader- and yet we're perfectly comfortable with treating one side like they're saints and the other- like they're evil incarnate, we have a huge problem. For 9 years Donbass was asking the Banderite Nazi government of Ukraine to leave us alone and grant us a divorce. But we're not human as far as the world is concerned so every word we said was either dismissed or called a lie. And JMS is still half Polish. Maybe he should Google " the Volyn Massacre " ?
