Very good product! When you put it away in a bag, make sure it’s put in a case otherwise it will scratch the trimmer. I know this because that’s the mistake I made not protecting it. It’s a very powerful trimmer, so glad I purchased these.

Great video, thanks mate. How is this super motor skeleton pro trimmer performing 2 plus years on? Is build quality, motor and battery performance holding up? How often have you replaced the blade since? Is it still your go to trimmer for shaping up and detailing? Or is there other trimmers that 2yrs on that you think I should consider in 2022 at the same price point? I need it only for domestic and personal use mainly shaping up my beard and hairline from time to time. Sorry for the numerous questions but hopefully quick for you to answer them. Thanks buddy.

What trimmer have you found that gives the closest trim? Ie. Most bald.

I love this product. Been using it on myself. Just one niggle. Mine seems to have like a second delay before they turn on. I’m not sure if this should be that way or my wires a tad loose. Have you got the same thing with yours or does it come on instantaneously when you push the power switch on.

Yeah mine does the same. I believe its because of the brushless motor, I don't think it's a defect with the trimmers. Thanks for watching 😁

Yep that's correct due to the brushless motor it does 2 revolutions of cycles first then starts up so totally normal

Have a sensitive skin. Would like something that cuts very close, almost blade-like to the skin. For use on my beard only.(home use ) can someone advise if this will do the job ? Someone recommended the gold fx but price point was slightly high. So wanted some advise on these. Thanks. Anyone ?

I used it out of the box for the first day and it was decent but adjusted it a tad closer and it hit really good then!

What detachable blade clipper do you use mate? I use the Andis Slimline Pro Li for balding but was thinking of going detachable with 00000 but not convinced that the price is worth it 😐

Hi mate, I use the outliner blade but heard that the 00000 is meant to be good too! I wouldn't buy a detachable clipper and blade if all your going to do it bald out with it, would be pretty pricey. Unless you plan on using a detachable with other blades for debulking etc.. Thanks for watching as well bud, I used to watch your channel a while back! You making a comeback? 😀

You could use this trimmer if you would use it for other things like beard trims etc or I would recommended the Wahl balding clipper.

Hi, I want to buy this machine for personal use would you suggest buying it or should I go with something else? I'm bald and I don't want to shave every 2 3 days or use a foil shaver as it's quite a hassle... I want something that gets very close to the skin to get a shaved head kinda look. But I also want to use it for my beard to fade it. Do you think this would be a good purchase for this? Also I can see there are no combs for setting the length in the package, where would I buy those from or is it not compatible with combs?

This would be fine for shaving your head and lining your beard. Not sure about guards.. maybe the Andis t ouliners guards might fit but I'm not 100%.

Maybe try the Andis Slimline pro li. Its cheaper and has guards. The blade is a bit smaller so may take slightly more passes to shave your head but will be better than any home trimmer and will be good for the beard too!

How do you find it on the beard neck line? I have recently purchased it but mine does snag the hair and does sometimes catch skin. Wonder if I’ve got a defect blade maybe?

Had no issues with snagging or catching, have you adjusted yours at all? Sometimes if there set too close they could snag and make sure there oiled after every cut. Babyliss warranty are really good and they will just send you a new pair if you have any issues. Hope that helps 🙂

Never had an issue with that. Just make sure there not zero gapped to close or the blades are out of line.

i watchen a ton of videos about FX and super motors trimmers and nobody said IF THE BLADES HAS ANY SELF-SHARPENING. And if not - how long they last, either in pro or domestic use? tnx!!!

Hey, I wouldn’t say they are self sharpening no. I can’t see how that’s even possible. Changing the blade would totally depend on usage but I would say for a busy barber if you were only to use one trimmer for every cut to change the blade around every 6 months. Your blade will tell you if you need to change before, if you have a drop in performance, increase in noise etc. Hope that helps!

Yes it does, but I've never had the battery die as I just pop in straight back in the stand after use! :)

Does this trimmer have the same blade as the gold fx or does it cut as good / close as the gold fx? Lots of reviews on KZread saying the silver fx are a huge disappointment.

It's a UK specific version and I believe the blade is different to the gold and silver fx In the US. I haven't tried either of those so I couldn't say unfortunately. Yeah I've heard issue with the silver fx snagging.

Legion Barber does the blade cut close once adjusted? I have the cordless detailers li and don’t cut no where near as good as the gold fx based on the videos I’ve seen so far.

Yeah i believe so! They are almost identical apart from the colour and the stand.Motor is the same and blade is very similar apart from the cutting blade is made from a different material.

I've never tried the gold ones but as these ones have a deep tooth blade I'm told they feed hair better.

It doesn't come with guards but the blade is similar size to the andis blades so they might fit? Will try it out next time I go to the shop!
