I just watched Babyface's interview with Genius. He said he wrote this song for Kenny G album and Luther was supposed to sing it. Luther heard this song, he liked it, but didn't want to record it. Babyface felt disappointed LOL Kenny then asked Babyface to sing it. Tommy Motola heard it and said: "this is your record". Mariah also loved it and wanted to do the background vocal. Each song has its own destiny and Babyface was right to sing this. I love this song so much 💙

I remember listening to this song coming back from my first date in high school, walking in the snow in Montreal, Canada. My girlfriend turned back and took the picture in my KZread avatar right now. More than 20 years ago. Time flies.

2023 still 🔥..... Love is timeless. Babyface too is timeless.

It's crazy how many people come back to this everyday. This song is legendary.
