Next time you could use a blunt ended scissors. They'd still have sharp blades to cut the hair but it would take away the risk of poking. I routinely cut my children's hair (they are now 31, 29, and 27) while they sat on the riding lawn mower. It was the ONLY time they were allowed on it. They were SO thrilled by being able to "steer" they hardly noticed that I was cutting their hair. BONUS: The hair was left outside and was used by the birds as nesting material. Found several nests with golden locks in them (after the babies had left the nests, of course). Very satisfying. Virginia Clearbrook MN

Good idea. And you can sharpen any all scissors by simply cutting aluminim foil. Just fold it in layers cut up in fine pieces..works with the cheapest of scissors everytime.
What a gorgeous boy Atlas is! You two make beautiful children, but then again, you’re both pretty darn beautiful yourselves!
You did a great job Corey. Atlas looks like a all spiffed baby.
He is so dang cute. He keeps looking at his mama like. What was that?!?!
Much better. Wet it and use a comb next time. Watch a few you tube videos. Over all good job.
Awesome job Cory. Atlas looks so adorable with his haircut. You did a great job.
You did fantastic once Kristen started holding him. I love his haircut. It's adorable. But the beginning was hilarious 😂❤️
Hello from Central New York. Atlas looks adorable with his new hair cut.
I love it!
Ohhh good job Cory! So sad to see him growing up but sooo happy dad did it! ❤️
Well done Cory!!!! And remember it always grows so it's all good! From what we saw he did an awesome job tolerating it! 👏🏻❤️👍🏻
He is too cute omg......that part when he cried ..... so adorable ....
Cory: The hair must be cut Atlas: NO DAD NOT THE HAIR, NOT THE HAIR, IM GOING TO CRY!!!!
Hey Cory, I am watching from California! Atlas is adorable! Love you guys!!! 💗💗💗
I am a kids barber and do a lot of first hair cuts so this was awesome to watch for me!!
Ha ha ha ha ha, that was so precious. Atlas, his little face. But he looks so nice now, A little fella.
Love this! I watched right before cutting my 14 month sons hair, however i opted out of beginning with a clipper or trimmer because I knew he’d end up with on big strip of bald hair lol. Once you started with the scissors, I was able to follow along for the most part. Thanks so much! You’ve got an awfully sweet boy.
Great job!! The result was so good..👍🏼 Atlas is so adorable & his hair cut made him look so so cuter😘 Love you guys so so much..💕
I love this - not what I was expecting at all, haha - but SO entertaining! Watching from South Wales in the UK x
Great job you did. I love Atlas's haircut. 💕 Logues Life is trying to get 2,000 subs
You did I a great job.our little one is 19 months and needs a haircut for the first time .very nervous and also think they look so grown up when you start cutting it.
Good job Cory... gonna cut my baby hair this week on 27th January and your video is a good confidence boost and how to relax them when they are tense
awww he'll always be your baby boy, even when he is 6 foot 4 towering over you and eating you out of house and home ❤
rofl ! he's the star of the wiggles haircut hour !
Great job cutting his hair. It looks awsome
I love your channel! You guys are so funny! Your kiddos are the most adorable! You as a couple are adorable! ❤️💙💚💛🧡💜🖤
Nice haircut. You did good. Atlas was getting a little wild looking.
That was fantastic 😇 Atlas is so stinking cute. The haircut turned out awesome!
Hahahaha, he looks gorgeous 😎, you've got a good hand! Once I tried to cut my nephew's hair with his dad beard clippers and... It turned out awful! I had to take him to the hairdresser to fix it 😂
It needed cutting :) Looks pretty good now. My baby's first haircut was done in a bathtub seat on the bathroom counter in front of the mirror. I used clippers and just mowed her hair down to an inch. It looked so cute!

Tie-Dye Menace her? Why would you cut a baby girls hair? I understand a boys hair though

@@User-xn8cx well gender normative hair and clothing aren't important to me. In fact, I like to subvert those expectations. So it's amusing to me that it's ok to cut a baby boy's hair but not a girl's.

Tie-Dye Menace oh goddd here comes the gender police
The last 2 times I cut my boy’s hair (10 months and 12 months), I used my beard trimmer just like you attempted to do at first. He HATED it. He screamed and cried all the way through both cuts. He’s ready for another cut so I’ve been watching tutorials that all recommend scissors. I didn’t use them the first 2 times because, like you, I was nervous about cutting him or something. But watching your video confirmed what I started to infer from the other tutorials: scissors are quieter and therefore more recommended. I’m gonna try scissors on his next cut and see how it goes. Anyway, it was really cool seeing the contrast here.
You did an excellent job!! Its not easy cutting kids hair. Atlas is so adorable!!
The first time I cut my sons hair was in the bathtub. His hair was so curly I could not get a good cut unless it was soaked and dripping wet, even then I had a short time to cut it. I ended up maneuvering around him in the tub while he played with toys, actually worked out great! I always trim his hair in the tub now, easy clean up too. :)
Great job Cory! I hated when I had to cut my baby’s hair. She had a mullet!
Nice, when I cut my son's hair for the first time, i started with the buzzer a few days before, i let him touch it, hold it, and then turn it on, basically let him get comfortable with it. When it was time to do it, he sat there like a champ
aww Atlas cutie. He looks so adorable with the haircut.
He looks so cute with his new cut! I'm too scared to do my toddler's first haircut yet. ✂️😨
Good job Dad!! What did Chell think about it?
I think Cory did an AWESOME job with the scissors!!!
Watching from India..my baby’s hair is just out of control now and due to COVID restrictions we can’t go out to the baby salons here...so finally gathering some courage to do it myself
Awe!!! He did just fine!!! He is such a cutie!!! ❤️❤️
Dang it, he's so cute!! I loved it when Atlas kept turning around whenever Cory used the razor. OMFG, that was so funny!!! Nice job Cory but he kinda has that Alfafa hair sticking up in the middle.😄
so funny, Atlas is adorable, good job!! I just cut my son Atlas hair for the first time yesterday (21 months old) I've never cut hair before, I used spray bottle and scissors only, bribed him with a treat and finding Dory!
Really great job!
Well using the old but gold mechanical manuel hair clipper is the best solution for babies.
Your son at 16: “dad! Why is there a KZread video of you cutting my hair with your ball sack shaver?” Lol.
He looks so handsome with his new haircut!!! He was handsome earlier too...
The baby is so adorable and you did a great job!
Great job on the haircut!! He looks super cute and and like a handsome little boy. Now I don't feel like I need to comb his hair.
Awww he looks so cute!
Lol!! Cory is so funny!
Looks great!!! 👍🏻
sweet little Atlas!
Loved the video
Aww, hi Atlas! He is stinking cute and getting so big.
High chair wet hair but came out better then I expected good first run
Bravo! This was truly fun to watch.
Looks good!
You guys plz make more vids atlas, he's so cute.❤️
Great haircut! Well done.
For safety I would suggest using kid's round tipped sissors and keep the blade end pointing away from the direction his quick turns would come from. M.
That's basically how Lili's hair looked before I trimmed it when she was around 8 months. I used scissors, but I also waited until she was asleep. Made it easier because her head wasn't moving around, but also I had to figure out how to move her head without waking her up. But I think Atlas's hair turned out pretty well.
Looks so much better, nice job
Good job Dad!!😊🙌🏼
he's adorable!!!!
Great job! He looks great!
Thank you all for this video me and my two year old loved it. She crawled into my lap to watch it. I was looking through videos to try to get an idea on how to cut her bangs. The bangs are just a little to long Thank y’all again!
You did a good job! With my youngest, I did wait until he was around 1 year old. I put him in his highchair, and kept him occupied with Reese's cups! I'm no beautician, but it worked! ;) If you start at the sides & back first, it's easier to give them a break and then go back for the top. They might look like a little punk for a while, but they are...so it's ok! ;)
I just cut my son's hair for the first time, I used scissors and water. He was good until I accidentally pulled his hair in the back. He cried. But now he's a brand new man! Lol
Awwwwwww Atlas is sooooo cute😍
Looks really good. My husband is half Apache native American and we've decided to not cut our sons hair. It's become so long but strangely it stays out of his eyes.
It looks fantastic! !!
Great job Mom & Dad!
He is such a cutie little pie...!! 💖💖 My boy is 9 months old now and I trimmed his hair using trimmer. He was curious but managed to do the job nicely :) Stay happy.... Love from Bangladesh....
So adorable
Excellent job
Looks better Cory! Good job! 👍🏼
So adorable🥰🥰🥰
You're a good parent 😊
Awww it's a mini Cory
its tooo fun but plz tc of him ! stay blessed baby
It looks good. Good job, Cory!
We didn’t cut my sons hair until he was 3 and a half and we only used scissors. Of course I cried and I saved his braid. We finally used clippers when he was 5 years old( Well the barber did 😊)He had super curly hair and ice we used the clippers he lost all his curls. But you did a good job 👏🏻
I’m glad I’m not the only one!
Good job!💈✂️
Great job! Be sure to put some in his baby book~
It looks great, much better. 👍❤️
Aww isn’t he precious, do you guys do what I do, I have a four month old and when she cries I tell her she’s grounded for life. She stops crying alright hahah
Help, I can't stop laughing!
It looks great. It almost looks like he has more hair in a way because it's less uneven.
i laughed so much watching this video. good going.
Like and support from London! 💗
He's a very handsome boy! ❤

Might be easier if he was in a high chair with wet hair. You did a great job. He is so handsome!! No matter what.
Looks good!
