I had a raccoon years ago. He was awesome. At 2 years old he wanted to go so I let him out. We had 10acres of woods with a few ponds and stream. I would get home after dark and he ran across the yard and climbed up to my shoulder and said hello. I saw him around for years and fed him and his friends. He was one cool fella

They are practicing a warning call. It means stay back and I'll attack in one coon speak ,I've had several wild ones that would eat with the outside cats. There really are actually smart animals and one of them even figured out how to open up the screen door of a climbing up on the handrail and then pushing the button on the door handle

We have caused the demise of some species and insects on this planet...ACCORDING TO YOUR THINKING we shouldn't even THINK about TRYING to redirect the death of them because it's nature. Pollution and agrichemicals and other things man has created has terminated a lot of creatures. And as for the butterfly effect, we can't go back and redo time and our choices. We can only go forward and through our mistakes charter a BETTER course. There is no time machine to hop in and try to correct all the damage we've done. And if someone helps a wild animal they could be the one that if those animals almost come to extinction that animal that was helped could be the one that helps repopulate the earth.

Luckiest lady alive. She's not just out in nature. She is mother of nature's creatures. Love this.

I used to feed a family who lost their mother to a mountain lion. I fed them a few times a week especially in the winter. One summer they found a gun handle in the forest and as it was a human thing they brought it to me for a gift. So very sweet.

I have had 2 families of raccoons behind the glass in my fireplace. I do not know if they were born in my chimney or if the mother brought them there; she would go out to search for her food. The first ones were so much fun to watch. The antics of the second group were fun to watch, until they started to try and to remove the screens and the glass door, in order to get out of the fireplace. Their little hands are very capable of undoing things and making mayhem. Their mama decided they were old enough to go to the nearby woods and took them out, one by one. My neighbors captured photos of their climbing out and down my fireplace. A fireplace cover is in my budget, now. But, I loved their company and watch all the raccoon videos, now. Really soothing. Blessings. From Texas, USA
