JOEY GIRTEN Very likely. They probably have multiple replicas of the puppets when they make the shows. I would be surprised if there were exclusively one of each muppet. If it is part of the story for the muppet to get dirty, or injured in a stunt, the performers need to have a clean muppet for the next episode. Another reason to have replicas of the puppets for performing the show, is that the costume designers can sew the clothing onto the puppets in advance. Maybe one scene has Elmo in his pajamas, and another scene has Elmo dressed as a fireman. Easier to make the scene transition when you have multiple Elmos, each sewed with their scene specific clothing in advance.

That's correct, VIdeoGameFan15. Kevin Clash played Elmo until his resignation in 2012.

Kevin Clash is a talented and very kind man. :)

Props to Elmo's puppeteer for doing this 👍 He seems so happy to see a child smiling. He's just in the background smiling while voicing Elmo. 😉

jaxen I would have loved Elmo being in my space I would have hugged him the whole time she's a stupid hater for Elmo 😡 Elmo wasted his time there he should have bent with me I'd make his time there worth it I was in the hospital for my bladder surgery and a mascot I didn't know what team he was from visited and gave me one of his wristbands and it was fun and I was greatfull unlike this child 😒

I do not care if anyone believes me or not. This is my little sister, Olivia Lauren DeBellis. I remember the day she met Elmo. She got to meet him because of the Make a Wish foundation. Reading some of these comments sicken me. Olivia was very sick with neuroblastoma. She was 2 when this happened. SHE DIDNT KNOW BETTER!! She passed away April 7th, 2012. I WAS IN THE 4TH GRADE. I AM CURRENTLY IN THE 9TH GRADE! I KNOW THIS GIRL BETTER THEN ANYONE I LOVE HER. If anyone reads this I want you to know that Olivia is in a better place now. We miss her a lot. If anyone reads this and wants to do something, donate money to helping childhood cancer. Any kind. Any amount. Anything helps. If you think I'm sick, then your wrong. This is my sister, and I love an miss her.

That kid was suffering from cancer! So if you were not feeling well, being poked and prodded constantly, and tired all the time to boot and he came in there with that very loud and hyper voice of his you'd probably be moody too. Please think before you speak you could hurt people. I know for a fact that this little girl's brother is in this comments section reading these replies and you probably just made him really upset.
