Akinyi is hilarious and she doesn't know it yet. I just like how articulate her ideas are. Everything I have known about her is effortles, no matter how challenging the situation is because of her wisdom. Very natural and intelligent lady. Benjamin is such a gentleman who loves his wife. 💘

These guys are soulmates. This is a good example to people who are against intermarriages that they can be soulmates. Mmevenn though they are from different worlds with different believes culture traditions and value systems.

If you find a good OBGYN and you're not high risk it's definitely possible. Remember to get a second opinion, you don't have to stick with the first doctor you see. A natural birth is amazing but in the even that you or the baby may be in danger a safe birth is better even if that means it's not the birth you wanted 💓💓💓

Right!! Me and my son-in-law delivered my first grandchild in their livingroom floor. It obviously was not the birth plan. Lol My daughters water broke and my granddaughter was crowning within 15 mins. Both baby and mommy was perfect. It was scary but exciting at the same time. It was a gorgeous experience and my baby rocked it. She was a stronger woman than I could have been. My granddaughter weighed 7lbs 8ounces and was 21 inches long. I kinda blame myself cause I kept making my daughter wait to go to hospital because her contractions were so inconsistent. I felt horrible afterwards. She's had 2 more children since and both born at hospital. First signs of labor I told her to get to hospital we didn't wanna chance a baby being born at home again. You just never know when something could go wrong. We were blessed that everything went perfectly the first time.

I used a doula, it was the best experience.

If my husband and I had done this much planning, we'd still be waiting to have a baby and I can't imagine life without my kids. Putting the puzzle together as you go is what creates your unique family journey

Yes your right the two of them can dream on When the time comes she can trust us the little one waits for no one they’re still be talking not realizing they’re in the delivery room or on the clean sheet on the darn floor Benjamin is bugging talking about 10 children he want a litter not a family LOL Akini must’ve forgot the hell she caught when she came to America oh and they want a house before the baby A newborn give less than a crap where home is going to be That box of tricks Benjamin brought will be home waiting when the baby is discharged They better have a bassinet on order or start cleaning and sanitizing a drawer

Congratulations 🎊😍 I had epidural for both of my sons and had a ceasarian section in a private hospital. In South Africa (Xhosa culture) the mother or elder comes to teach you about the basics and imperatives about child care. In the olden days the new mom had to stay in the room for 7 days. I love how Akinyi thinks, very smart as we are taught to stay away from debts from a very young age. Love from South Africa 🇿🇦

South African here too, but Tswana we stay 3months indoors without coming out after giving birth and u get an elder to help you teach you how to raise a baby, u only go out when you have clinic visits for the baby. I love Akinyi so much she is so smart and gentle so is her husband Benjamin 🥰

Congratulations!! I'm a new subscriber and yes, it is very important for a woman to have our mother at home when we give birth specially if you are a first time mom. I'm so happy I found you guys on KZread I used to watch you guys on 90 day fiance (TLC) So happy to see that it worked out for you guys🙂

I had a natural birth in the hospital, but chose a mid-wife who knew about hypnobirthing...it's not what you think, just listening to relaxation tapes during the last 3 months of pregnancy and knowing what to expect during labour. I'm a Christian, but had a beautiful pregnancy, labour and delivery. 7 hours labour and I just smiled the whole way through....Listening to my relaxation tapes. No epidural, only a little gas and air. At the age of 43! First time as well. Akinyi, you are still quite young, so this should be a breeze.

YES I recommend you getting an epidural if you do not like pain ....

I have had 3 babies. I labored for about 10 hours every time. I've done it with and without epidural. Personally I see nothing wrong with it and if I have another baby I'll be getting an epidural. I suggest going to the hospital for your first baby... that way you have the option of getting an epidural and many others reasons

The second time was a traumatizing experience because they pinched a nerve and my back was in SEVERE pain all throughout labor! The contractions didn't even hurt me like that because my back was that intense 😳 The next time I have a baby I decided to have a natural birth!

Love this video 🥰 I do live in Arizona and I had all 3 of my kids natural and no meds..I come from a big family..Mother delivered 9 natural and no meds and my siblings have kids and no meds. I was shock because as a black woman I throught I will have diabetes or something because I didn't eat healthy but I did love fruits lol but I didn't end up with any healthy problems..I am team hospital & home birth & definitely No meds. That's just my opinion but ever one has a different experience. I had alot of people there when I delivered, even my sister in law, except my brothers who came after the delivered. I agree brothers don't want to see and I will be uncomfortable lol. I never use a ovulation test...It just happened 🤷‍♀️ And I never been depressed after a baby
