Picking a name for another human being is SO difficult!! This is a name they will keep for life. You have to ensure it doesn't sound like it's made for an animal too lol Saying that, Once my husband and I found out our daughter was a girl, She was immediately named Leia Elizabeth. She is 10 months old now and it fits her perfectly! xx

I love the name Elodie! I've never heard that one before. Jude and Max are such nice, classic, but cool names for a boy.

my parents considered initials, syllables, everything and that was 40 years ago. in a book from the 60's full of baby names, the intro talked about these things, too, so.... but oh my goodness, isla is such a lovely name! never heard it here in my part of the states.

I have an Isla and although I still love the name she is the 3rd Isla in her class. If I had realised how popular it was going to be I would have chosen something else if I'm honest.

When I was born my parents knew no one who had my name now everyone seems to be called Isla! 😂😂

I simply adore you guys! This video was very insightful. I, like you, am drawn to these name videos. I rarely hear any one else say that they didn't use the name strictly because of their surname. For my husband and I it is a really big problem. Our last name is Lee, which turns most names into an adjective. It was so difficult to pick a name because of this and I never would have imagined having a difficult time with such a common surname as Lee.

My last name is payne and my brothers name is Edward, obviously shortened to Ed, so its Ed Payne like 'Head Pain' hahah!

I have an Amelia whose 18 months old! My whole pregnancy everyone told me not to call her Amelia because of it being so popular but I just loved it so much I couldn't help it haha! We call her Mia now, and actually have been really surprised there are no other Amelias in her nursery xxx

Well that was strange, stumbled across this video and when I heard you say Elodie I was so stunned! I'm half French but I've still never met another Elodie in the UK. Also my name almost never gets shortened - occasionally get called Elle but most people stick to Elodie.

I love watching these videos for name ideas! I don't know the gender of my baby yet but I think we are set on Archie for a boy and Imogen for a girl! Can't wait to see what you call baby number 2 👶🏻👶🏻
