    Can I ask what the plan is for Floki? Is he still recovering from his surgery? Is he going to have more surgery? Is there a plan to eventually integrate him into a troop? If so, how do you do that with him being much older than the babies and physically impaired? Is he just going to live his life out in Disneyland watching over the babies like their big brother? 😁 I'm not sure if you've already mentioned any of this in earlier videos but I am quite curious and extremely invested in this little guy. Seeing this makes e sad because these are the very very very lucky few that made it to Josie and Dave and we all know how great of a life these guys get to have after a few days of emotions. But I think of all the babies that aren’t as lucky and either end up alone and starving for days or ends up in the wrong persons hands. Murder rape child abuse are all things that the entire world looks down on and feels it’s a bad thing then why cant we have that for primates? I fight against KZread and I feel they should never allow anyone to have a channel unless it’s a sanctuary or legally a pet. These thousands of infant monkeys being tortured in Asia for KZread money needs to stop before we no longer have wild monkeys

    @@christalmarie3723 As far as I know they do not. Are you asking because of Floki with the babies? If so, Floki came in as an older monkey. He had to have surgery on his legs. Rather than keeping him by himself while healing they put him with the babies. Since he is older and because of his injuries he can not be put in a regular troop. He may also have some brain damage. They have an area with monkeys that have disabilities. They are slowly introducing him to these monkeys so that when he is fully healed he will be able to join them. Once in a while they let juvenile males in the intro cages to get the babies use to bigger monkeys and to form bonds with monkeys in the troop they will be going into. I saw no one responded to your question. Hope you don't mind that I answered you. Just to let you know, I may not be 100% correct on all of this.

    Does anyone know why they aren't given pacifiers like they do with bat orphans?

  • @ms.newyawkeri7559

    @ms.newyawkeri7559

    3 жыл бұрын

    Probably because they are preparing to integrate them with wild monkeys. Giving them a pacifier would defeat the purpose of why they are there. It takes a while to integrate them as it is. Trying to take a pacifier away would make it harder and longer to get them with moms.

    @@ms.newyawkeri7559 Good morning. Thanks for responding🙂. I'm certain the experts know exactly the correct thing to do but the babies look so sad and scared. It seems like a no brainer to me, (a non expert). Fruit bat orphans are given pacifiers and mama rolls or teddy bears to hold for comfort. Then they are carefully released back into the wild. I've been loving the bat rescue videos for months now. These videos are different but awesome as well. The people caring for the monkeys are obviously dedicated and love them. You can hear it in the narrator's voice. Still, I'm on pins and needles waiting for the babies to be adopted 😍. Have a wonderful day.

    @@daynashallenberger6256 Yes, you can tell all these volunteers love and care for these babies. I'm not an expert either. But, I do think that in this situation they wouldn't want the babies dependent on objects not natural in their habitats. Especially something that is considered a self soother. It may hinder the process of creating a bond with a mom. I know we have different thoughts on this. We could be here all day. 😂. I am going to post the question to VMF again and see their reasoning behind not giving pacifiers.
