Beginning of video you see mom Maria and Kari is having a fit and runs back to mom Maria. This is not Sweet Pea. They sound alike because they are cousins.

So basically he's having a Tantrum and Mom's ignoring him. My kids did the same thing, I ignored them until their tantrum stopped or if they pushed too far, they got spanked.

This baby has grown and the baby hairs already turned to same colour as the mother. Should forage it's own food. The mother ignored it totally. And it still cried and screeching all the time. Lazy brat need to be spatted to teach a lesson.

You are right. That's SweetPea sitting with the male at the end. Popeye is nursing him all. They the video cause Amari is hounding Popeye following her all thru the video😂🤣yanking SweetPeas hair trying to pull hom from Popeye and she kept moving. She grabbed hold of Kari cause she was screaming so bad and wouldn't shut up. Boy she really showed her tail didn't she?? This was the best and most exciting video I've seen. Finally Popeye got tired of Amari badgering her and she put SweetPea down and that's why he started his tantrum. Everybody speaks so badly of the crying baby (yearly?). How rude and sad that you can’t see both sides of the picture. First it is very hard to wean on both sides. Mum loves her babies, but she has to wean her offspring as soon as possible, she has to be ready to give the troop another member. But mom knows the cutting the strings will mean baby has to learn how to survive without her and the nipple. Baby doesn’t understand why mum has stopped the milk bar and the cuddles. Why mum tries to distance herself and give airs of not dislike. Baby needs that sense of security from mum. So baby is in a state of disorient and confusion. So baby cries and pleads for mum. Without any acknowledgment from mum. WOULD YOU CRY FOR MOTHER IF THIS WAS YOU? Yes, baby is SPOILED. This can not be blamed on the baby. The mother is the responsible party. So try to see both sides of situation, and give yourself credit for doing so.

I think this was the first video that I watched and knew there was something wrong with Sweet Pea. He is loosing it for no reason at all. He seems confused and extremely excited. He tries to nurse .17 and that is NOT his mother. Baby monkeys dont usually do that. The entire troop doesnt know what to do with him but they do seem to sense something is wrong with him. It is now August 2018 and Sweet Pea is about 16 months old?? guessing. He is much better but still very different than any of the other monkeys his age. He will always be this way.

8:07 Now that is awesome..This shows me that these animals do love one another. I thought the older baby was just leaning on the baby to upset her more..and really she was blocking Amari from hurting the baby. Now that is amazing. At the end, Sweetpea still does it better. He is such a little brat!!

I had no idea till I stumbled on these monkey channels and got hooked watching that these monkey babys are such bratts it astounds me how unruly they are and that they never seem to learn a lesson either, some are genuinely nice little creatures who dont deserve to have there hair pulled and there face bit! But the majority dame well deserve it and a whole lot more.

If sp makes it to be an adult it will be a miracle.

The mommas deny them milk but as soon as they settle down and start looking for something else to eat, it is torn for their hands (and mouths) by the moms who proceed to throw the morsels into their own pie holes. That must be Sweet Pea. The troop should have silenced him as a baby because he only got worse as he grew, He was still nursing and howling as an adult. Is he still alive?

I noticed that Popeye never hurts Kari when Amari is around.I also notice that Kari gets real vocal when she's tired and hungry, she just needs to snuggle and nurse and fall asleep in momma's arms. Kari never knows when her next nursing session will be or when she will see her mother again for all that matter. I think she falls to sleep as soon as her mom holds her close. I love her. She and Amber are the sweetest two little misfit's.

At least Amari gives some comfort to little Kari. Poor Kari got a dud for a mother. Who was the monkey that grabbed and disturbed the Pea before Amari? It looked like Bertha but I couldn't tell. Every monkey seems to want a piece of poor SweetPea. He wasn't like this when he was younger. It started when Amari kept after him. He's clearly traumatized. He doesn't recover well from kidnappings and having his hair, arms, legs, and tail pulled by Amari. It's a lot for a new baby monkey.

bellesmom2012 , awww so true. It's so hard not to get emotional and attached to these little ones. Wouldn't you agree that these babies have a rough bittersweet life. Sometimes I have to stop watching for a few days because it can actually become depressing. Lol who'd have thought that these monkeys could have such an impact on our lives? Lol it is what it is. 😂 They don’t even have to put his name in the title. Hilarious how he sounds the same now as he did then, he’s just in a much bigger body. Much, much bigger..

This video is funny and interesting on two fronts. On the main front you have baby Kari's epic mac-attack, with a good amout of crying, shacking, spasming and running erreticly around, ending in a much needed, if short, moment of blissfull nursing. Poor girl was so tired, she fell asleep as soon as she got to the nipple! In the background you have baby Sweet Pea, nursing and moving around quietly (for a short time!) and Popeye, trying to get aways from Amari, who again seems determined to bother mom&baby - all this ending in Popeye leaving Sweet Pea alone and SweetPea crying/freaking out because he can't see her. While this is happening you can see some of the other monkeys doing their thing - grooming, eating, Brutus lazing around. All in all this is a nice and entertaining video! 👍😃

I have never seen a macaque King perched up on a better looking throne than what Brutus is relaxing in at 2:05. Also, this is the only time another juvenile throwing a fit while next to SweetPea makes him look like the calm baby.

Funny how by 7:10 mark, Kari had screamed herself into a stupor and was finally attended to by her mom. (Amari did her part to try and re-ignite her fire by repeatedly tugging At her.) At this point, somewhere off-camera, Sweetpea picks up the baton and does his part to annoy the troop. Kari's yelling doesn't compare to Sweetpea's full throated banshee like screaming.

A zoo would have severely limited his caloric intake, and not let her breastfeed him “At Will”. Like he was. The VOS really contributed to his weight, downfall, and eventual demise.

If they had just let him him scream and honk, he would have eventually stopped. Burgos mother kept giving into him as well as the forestry service and he learned that making a loud spectacle of himself brought rewards of food anytime he wanted, so he never stopped.
