When Austin was talking about living in the moment and trying to enjoy it and not worry so much about the numbers... i also get that way.. i recently started an art page and my initial thought was to get people to buy or to follow me, but i have to remind myself that this is only the beginning and that i should enjoy the progress of my skill more than my follower count because people are so unpredictable.

She is not Malaysian, Brazilian, Indian, or any anything else but African American, so why would she look cute in someone else's hair?? BRIT YOU ARE FAR MORE BEAUTIFUL WITH YOUR NATURAL HAIR ..... BECAUSE ITS YOURS!!! Anybody can look good in a weave(for the most part) I'm sorry, but im 25 and I find it disappointing that we find other cultures more attractive than our own. I got on the bus yesterday and every single black girl/woman had on a weave!! How do we expect for people to accept our hair and our features when we don't..Brit please keep your natural hair, because it teaches little girls out there that they don't need another little girls hair from another race in her head to be beautiful

I'm completely digging everything Austin said about being in the moment. In essence, what I got from it is it's good to stop acting or playing a role for the cameras and just try to be who you really are at all times. When the cameras are on, it's sharing. When they're off, it's private time. However,when the camera comes on it doesn't mean you have to perform or be politically strategic about everything you think, say, and do. Interestingly, Austin's energy is different in a positive way. For the first time in months he looks settled and more at peace. The love/hate thing he has had for youtube seems to finally be lifting. I think a lot of you tubers focus so much on the criticism that they get from a few and not enough on the tons of people who really enjoy the videos. This was one of the best videos thus far because not only are they both seemingly more relaxed and authentic, they actually allow the kids to just be kids. Dang...allowing Kailand to actually cry on camera is a huge positive step because normally you tubers only show their kids at their very best. It was cool to see Kai just be a normal kid and cool to see Austin just speak from his heart about the balance thing. I can imagine it's hard to find "work/life" balance when your work is actually making videos of your life. It's hard to find the line and even harder to help viewers understand that what they see is only a very tiny portion of their lives. In the same way viewers do a lot of other crap in a day and then sit down to watch a 15 minute video, the vloggers do a lot of other stuff as well. Anyway, I'm proud of Austin for doing the work to get centered and glad he's coming to the realization that the folks who are going to watch will watch and the ones who won't, will not. Stop worrying and start living. Put your faith in God and there's nothing else to worry about. Two thumbs up!

Quit overthinking things Austin. You guys are amazing. You are having real emotions and don't beat yourself up for past transgressions and just do your best to be, you, and, present. You aren't supposed to show strangers EVERYTHING you and Britt talk about. Being "human" involves not being perfect all the time. We just do the best we can in this world. You and Brittany are doing a great job and you both are SO TALENTED. In a relationship, you have to keep each other accountable and I believe that you are successful at doing that, because you're open to maintaining and improving when adversity comes your way. You make this social media thing look, easy, but, I know you put quite a bit of hard work and dedication to bringing videos to us. My family appreciates what you do.

Happy Mother's Day Brittany. :) You ARE a wonderful Mom. You both have three TOTALLY GORGEOUS children. They will have wonderful memories of home and growing up. They will go out into the world being happy humans. TRUE success is being a happy human. Continue to pour lots of love on the children. Teaching them right from wrong along the way. i feel im the same way. We get our 21 month old daughter to bed and turn on the video monitor and just do our own thing kinda. He works Wed to Sun 11 or 12 hour shifts so i see him around 10 pm at night. But when Ava is in bed i always try to just have me time like watch vlogs, go pee by myself lol. He watches tv and we chat but we never have the time together i always want...

I understand what you are saying Austin. Sometimes I get caught up in things, but realize life is passing me by. I am a college student and I am always asked what will come next after I graduate. While that is an important question, I also want to focus on what is happening now. I have been working on making sure I am intentional with my friendships/family and spending time with God. Also, with social media being such a huge part of the world it is hard to press pause and enjoy life.

Same!! I am finally graduating with my bachelors in 8 days and I cannot wait to have more control over my time and truly enjoy moments without worrying about the next anxiety-inducing task that I have to achieve. Can't wait to spend more time getting to know myself and God!

Austin.......I feel you lol I have been kind of a vlogger addict for a good year now, & I noticed I get anxiety if I feel like I'm "behind" on daily videos. Like I have to watch that days video to feel "caught up". But I also feel this guilt with my kids and husband that I am so into this social media world. Not that you are not real, obviously, but that you are just a family on the internet that I love lol going to work on focusing more on being in the moment as you said :) thank you for the reminder!

No, I get it, it totally makes sense. Social media connections are totally different than real life connections and though they can sometimes be just as rewarding, it's a lot less temporary than the reward of real life connection. Plus KZread is a different social media platform than, say, Facebook or Tumblr where you can personally get to know people more through chatting with them. With KZread we leave comments and you guys sometimes reply (which is super nice) but it's more like saying hi to a nice stranger in the elevator and having a nice chat with them before getting off on your floor and going on with your life. Weird analogies that I made, but I get what you meant :)
