The only thing that I despise more than elephants are elephant calves! Loud , obnoxious, misbehaved, clumsy. I despise these god awful destructive creatures. I hope they bring Ivory back into fashion and legalize it. 😅😅 I want to boot that bratty waste of oxygen in the face with that annoying screaming.

I agree should be more gentle in moving her around and giving her a hug and tender love. Please pray for her to God Heavenly Father in Yeshua, Jesus name for her and all the elephants in these regions and other regions to watch over them and keep them safe at all times. Plea to God Lord Yeshua Jesus to bless her a beautiful home and family and protect her for the rest of her life, all her needs are provided for her and for all the elephants too. Amen

@@Railroadchick It all depends on the situation. Not all people people that have had to kill elephants are sick Sometimes though, some Elephants just deserve to die, and need to be killed. I was visiting a friend in South Africa a few years back and all of a sudden an Elephant with a little one or two week old very tiny calf showed up on his property and attacked and nearly killed a relative of his, for no reason at all. He ended up shooting the Elephant dead. Her calf ran off aimlessly. A minute or two later the little calf wandered back near his dead mom, He walked over and grabbed and yanked it by it's little trunk and it wailed, so he smacked in the head repeatedly to get it to leave. the little calf ran off again, and then a few minutes later it once again wandered back near his dead mother, and started sniffing and rubbing his face and trunk in her shit(dung), for some weird reason. At the time my friend was so pissed off at what happened, he whacked the little poopaphant with a shovel, knocking it to the ground. His wife , and a few other other people grabbed the shovel from him and tried to calm him down as he would've beat the little thing to death. The little calf let out a blood curdling scream as he hit the ground, and kept making wailing sounds. This pissed him off more, and he kicked the little poopaphant multiple times before kicking it in the head, knocking it unconscious. When the little calf woke i couldn't believe how terrified he was. That was the first time i noticed elephants cry. the pitiful little thing looked so scared, laying there concussed, with his eyes watery and bugged out, with his mothers dung all over it's face, and sucking on his little shit-covered trunk like a pacifier. We ended up taking the little poopaphant off his property, kept him for the night and he was rescued the next day. I actually ended up forming a bond with the little poopaphant . My point is that sometimes fucked up situations happen to good people, and things just happen.

There are times when the vets who treat these stricken elephants put their lives on the line.

I just admire and respect all the fellows rescuing these orphaned baby elephants. They do such a great job. Those babies are so terrified and now Mama is gone and who are these beings pushing and taking me from Mom? What are they doing to me? What is going on?

She is beautiful! Such a shame that her mothers life was taken. I put the blame on the villagers living in the area! It is usually the case.. I really do feel for animals who are pushed out of an area because humans put claim over land. The indigenous cultures set a good example and lived among nature and all who live under natures umbrella! And they call indigenous people uncivilized!

He's a baby.....He doesn't UNDERSTAND that his mother is dead. The danger is that he'll just stay there and starve to death because being a BABY, he doesn't know what to do. He IS terrified though.

Bullshit mate. That little poopaphant is terrified because it wants and needs shit (dung) very badly. They love to sniff, rub their face in it, sleep in it, play with and eat it. Dung is very important for a little poopaphant's happiness and survival. An experienced keeper will emulate the poopaphant's mother and stuff dung in it's mouth, and rub it all over the little poopaphant's face and body every hour as needed daily. Without dung, a poopaphant (calf) will become terrified.

Yup. This video really annoys the hell out of me. That little calf is definitely being mistreated. If they had any common sense they'd be doing what the mother elephant always does by stuffing that little calf's mouth and trunk full with adult female elephant dung, and rubbing/smearing dung all over the little calf's face and body to keep it feeling happy, warm, and safe. A calf is entirely dependent on dung for happiness and survival.

Stop the noise it disturbs the calf to much, be calm and quiet just like a peaceful environment elephant is and he/she will follow.

They love to sniff it, rub their face in it, roll around in it, sleep on it, play with and eat it. Maybe should of had a baby bottle with milk and comfort him he's a baby scared who lost his mom
