He not only got the baby out, but carried it and went searching for worried mother that was close by. A day rescued and rescuer will not soon forget. Bravo!

​​@@adrianpena677 Idk, it's a little bit of a coincidence that the man just so happened to go in the right direction to find it's mother... There's plenty of "animal rescue" videos and plenty are staged, keep your wits about you and always question things you see on KZread.

Fantastic job reuniting baby and Mom. I had this exact experience several years ago at Leasure World in Olney, MD. The fawn I rescued was trapped in a median with 4 lanes of traffic to traverse and Mom waiting in the woods beyond just watching my every move. I too had to catch and carry the baby back to Mom while stopped traffic waited and watched. It was one of the most fulfilling moments of my life.

@@Nate-bn5kk agreed. Alot are staged. I've even seen the exact same dog in some of the rescue videos. It even has the same collar!! But putting a baby deer into that water like that for any amount of time.... I couldn't even do that! I would hope others couldn't as well. But I can't say that 100%

Realistically, beautiful mummy would not be able to pick up her baby without the help of actual " hands " !! Am so glad this wonderful and kind caring human being came along , to be the much needed life saving " forklift operator " 😆😆 👍❤️ !! In the last 24 hours , I have personally been on the receiving end of the WORST and MOST horrible disgraceful lowest form of human " scumbagness " behaviour....but watching this touching video balanced the ledger, and reminded me of GOOD and honourable DECENT human beings existing !! Now, THAT brought tears to my eyes! What a beautiful story, and what a happy ending! That poor little fawn was doomed without human intervention, and, happily, the guy spotted him, rescued him, and reunited him with his mother! Just beautiful!

Not true, some elephants and dolphins are thought to have empathetic qualities too. Makes it hard to pick up a baby deer though when you don’t have thumbs.😃 …don’t take this too seriously, I understand and agree with you for the most part.

This was such a lovely story filled with the heartwarming promise of rescue and reunion. And it delivered. LOVE in action. I had a similar experience about 18 months ago. Found a baby deer, couldn't have been more than a few days old, in a church parking lot. The blacktop was quite hot & the little fella was crying for its mom. He wasn't moving to avoid cars or people so I picked him up and eventually took him over to the treeline of woods bordering the parking lot and set him down under the brush. I checked on him after church service and he was gone. That will go down as one of the thrills of my life - to hold a fawn so young and it just laid there so calmly in my arms. Babies, no matter if human or animal, have a sweet innocence & purity about them.

Glad to hear she was returned to momma. 😍🥰😊

Quick tip: a fawn with spots in straight lines is a male and if the spots are scattered or zig zag, it’s a female. Judging by the spots on this fawn, I’d say its male. I’m not correcting you or finding fault with your comment. Just sharing some info. 😊

I am certain that Momma was watching! That is the case in the vast majority of these lost baby situations. This kindly man didn't want to upset Momma so he left quietly once he saw a member of the herd. That deer was either the mother or an associated deer, most assuredly! So I believe there was a very happy reunion between Momma and Baby! 💕🌟💕

The fawn may have just been a bit unsteady at first. We don't know exactly how long the fawn had been trapped in that creek, so it's possible that it was simply tired and in need of rest.

So beautiful!! When you get a lump in your throat it hurts especially when you're holding back tears.

With all of the negativity in today’s world, I cannot get enough of these positive stories. Whoever this person was, it is clear to me that they have a good heart.

That was truly special to watch a baby deer trust this human. But as always I’m left with questions when I don’t see the actual reunion take place. Not doubting that it did but the animal lover in me feels a little uneasy. Thanks for taking care of the little guy I don’t see how momma could have rescued Bambi. ❤

The mother was shown at the end 50ft or so in front of him. The baby was headed right towards her as soon as he put em down.

I also felt like this video left me with a lot of questions. Like, why were both deer so seemingly unafraid of this man? Why did he know exactly where the mom was? How did he come across the deer in the creek in the first place? Why do we not see the baby and supposed mom actually head towards each other?

@@peterhuitema5424 Actually Peter I’ve learned by watching one of the TV shows that features game wardens in New Hampshire and Maine that the mother isn’t put off at all by human smell. That’s another one that the old wives tales put over on us. I was going to send you a link but I’m pretty inept when it comes to electronics. 😂😂😂😂🦌

the fawns instincts kicked in when confronted with a stranger. deer fawn lie down in the grass and do not move when they are away from their mother and meet a predator, as they are never fast enough to outrun any such natural predators like wolves. however, here she had no grass to hide in and only cold water under her belly so she did the natural thing and stood still

The Man didn't noticed the mother anywhere in the open field so it is obvious she had to be at the edge of the tree line..by chance he took off in the right direction. tell us all why you believed something is off Junior.
