Mother budgies will sometimes pluck their babies feathers out due to stress if they're exhausted and suffering from a vitamin/mineral deficiency. You need to regulate the amount of eggs the mother budgie is laying (i.e. by altering lighting conditions to reduce hormones) because laying eggs before she has even had a chance to finish raising her current brood is likely what led to her rejection of the little guy.

Yes, we know that. Thanks for sharing information. 😀 It would be their second clutch, but we closed the nest and removed the egg that was laid by budgie mum. She probably rejected the little one because she wanted to lay more eggs. We know that they need to rest and we do our best to feed them healthy, especially when they are breeding. They always have cuttlefish bone in their cages and we give them hard boiled eggs once a week, along with some fruit and greens. Thans again for sharing knowledge with us. ❤️

You can get a vitamin solution for his water to help build him up and help his feathers grow

Why was he so much younger than his siblings? He is so cute. I am sure he gets better soon and i think he learn to fly.12 years ago i got a male budgie from a breeder and he could'nt fly. His name was Enrico. I loved him so much. After four months he could fly very good. I wish the best for this cute little guy.❤
